Seeing the Word as all that matters.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The apostle Paul said:

Philippians 3:7-10   But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ (The Word).

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus (The Word) my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in Him
(living in The Word) , not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

That I may know Him (The Word) , and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;

***

Paul was very highly placed among the Pharisees ... "an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;"

When Jesus (The Word)  revealed HIMSELF to Paul on the road to Damascus, Paul was instantly changed and followed God to another life, a life in the Christ whom he had been persecuting up to that point.

Those who had praised Paul, now persecuted Paul and tried to kill Paul!

And those who were of Jesus (The Word) and had feared Paul were greatly surprised when Paul began to preach Jesus (The Word).

When God told Ananias to go to Paul, Ananias replied:

Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

But the Lord (The Word) said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name (The Word) before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. (for sake of the name of Jesus, The Word)

Acts 9:13-16

Paul counted all things he had achieved before this as "dung".

And Paul even rejoiced in his sufferings for Christ, for the Word's sake.  Paul knew he had all that mattered!

Matthew 16:24-26    Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after ME (The Word), let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME (The Word). For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for MY sake shall find it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

***

But I see following God to be a great joy!  For nothing matters but the Word.

Matthew 13:45-46    Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:  Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
