Be content

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

This current heaven and earth will pass away.  All the works of man shall be consumed in the fire.  Everything we can see with our natural eye will be gone.

Our joy is everlasting in that Word which God has given to us and in which we believe.

We believe God raised Jesus from the dead.  We believe God will raise us from the dead.

We will inherit a kingdom of righteousness.

We are just waiting here for that promise, for our inheritance.

Therefore the apostle Paul exhorts us as follows:

I Timothy 6:5-12    Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

But godliness with contentment is great gain. (not wanting more or better)

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

(To follow after money ... to take a job for purpose of getting more money rather than interest in the work, is to follow after money.  If you do that you will fall into a temptation and a snare and hurt your own self and your family.)

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Matthew 6:24     No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
