Psalm 43:3

O send out Thy light (The Word) and Thy truth (The Word): let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

How does God guide us?  By a vapor of smoke?  By a hand reaching out to us as some hymn say?  By wind which blows one way then another?  By what humans might think?

God guides us by HIS Word.  The truth is in Jesus, The Word.

It is always solid, The Word.

It is not a vapor, or a feeling, or past habits learned from childhood.

God's leading is solid, real.

God leads us by HIS Word.

God plants HIS ideas into our hearts and minds by HIS Spirit Who brings us ideas and thoughts.

The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth:

* HE will teach us all things  (by God's word)  John 14:26
* HE will remind us of everything Jesus (The Word) has said to us.  John 14:26
* HE will guide us into all truth (by putting concepts, ideas into our minds)  John 16:13
* HE will show us things to come (often by dreams)  John 16:13

And how do we recognize the thoughts and plans sent by God?

James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
