Scriptures

I want to get scripture more deeply inside me and I know we can do that by meditating throughout the day on key scriptures.

You can put scriptures into an email to yourself so when you open your email throughout that day, those scriptures will be there and this will give you more opportunity to think on those scripture and do them.

Matthew 6:25-27   Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
(We cannot add one inch to our height by taking thought!)

Luke 12:26   If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

Pam Padgett has just finished a small remodel job at her house. Of course Pam prayed for wisdom at every step of the project. But the problem is we can ask God for wisdom but then fail to wait for HIS wisdom and go out and try to form plans by our own efforts.
Several times during the project, God gave HIS plans for the project to another person.
Basically God was saying to Pam, "I, God, am working this out."

James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But God might choose to give that wisdom to another person to speak it to us ...

Solomon even said wisdom stands on the street ...

Proverbs 1:20   Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

Proverbs 8:1-3    Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?  She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.  She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

We recognize the wisdom that is from God by the following:

James 3:17   But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
