Sometimes I will awaken with a hymn called to my attention. When this happens, I reach for my Kindle device which is beside my bed and pull up that hymn and let it play as I follow the words of the verses.

I use this web site frequently for hymns that are called to my mind. I can hear that hymn playing on piano and can follow each verse which is printed out on the web page.

Also I know it is God calling this specific hymn to my mind by the Holy Spirit in the same way God will cause the Holy Spirit to remind me of a scripture.
When such happens, I know this exact hymn will do a work of God in me at that exact moment. Therefore I am careful to follow each verse, allowing the hymn to work through my being.
