Acts 2:22-24 Ye men of Israel, hear these words;
Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it.

Jesus descended into hell where HE conquered all, Satan and devils ... and then HE arose a victor and as a result the devil cannot keep the children of God in bondage, for Jesus won their freedom from devils.
It is as this HYMN says:
Up from the grave HE arose.
With a mighty triumph o'er HIS foes.
HE arose a victor from the dark domain,
And HE lives forever
with HIS saints to reign.
HE arose!
HE arose!
Hallelujah! Christ arose!
