Wisdom that is from above

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 3 ... 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

There are several characteristics of the wisdom that is from God to help us to see if we are going in a way of God.

Recently in our little church group, a woman told story of how her son wanted to visit her.  She didn't want him to do that.  She was convinced that God was leading her.  But her story made me very sad ... and even confused.  I spoke with her by phone about this.  She felt strongly it was God leading her.  After we spoke by phone, I sent following to her by email:  "I still feel confusion and sadness over that story.  No joy, love nor peace for me in it."

Later she responded by email, "I don't have answer yet on how I got so off on this.  Certainly wish now I had tried spirit."

===========

It is very dangerous time ... deception ...

Try the spirits (I Peter 4) if something seems crazy.

It is doubtful God has singled you out for a great work ... try the spirits ... be careful.

Use some common sense.

It is so important ... don't do crazy things ... try the spirits ... be sure it is of God, especially if it is some spectacular unusual thing.

There are all types of spirits that would try to destroy you ... try the spirit ... proceed carefully ... it is extremely dangerous ... deception is everywhere.

II Peter 3 ... seeing we look for the end and Jesus return how are we to live?

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
