Lk. 4 ... 1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil.
40-days is a long time to be tempted of the devil.
3 temptations are shown in Luke 4 ... but in 40-days, there would be many more than these 3 temptations.
Heb. 4 ... 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
