A man railed out at me exceedingly because of what I write on the blog.
I
turned to God in prayer immediately, asking God for help.
I
was reminded of “persecution” for the Word’s sake.
Peter
said … 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to
try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:13 But rejoice,
inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall
be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ (the Word of God), happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth
upon you: on their part HE is evil spoken of, but on your part HE is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer,
or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as
a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at
the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them
that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved,
where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore
let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their
souls to HIM in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. I Peter 4
I
began praying, asking God to help me. I
even asked God to show me if I had anything wrong that I was writing.
After
praying, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit of the way they spat upon Jesus …
Mt. 27 … 29 And when they had platted a crown of
thorns, they put it upon HIS head, and a reed in HIS right hand: and they bowed
the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! 30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and
smote him on the head. 31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the
robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify
him.
If
they do this to the MASTER, they will do this to the followers of the MASTER.
So
we can expect this to happen.
We
must not try to ignore this when it happens.
We must do as Peter told us to do and “commit” ourselves to God,
depending on HIM to sustain us.
God
called us … and gave us HIS Spirit, the Spirit of Truth … and God taught us by
HIS Spirit … and like the apostle Paul, we know “WHOM” we have believed.
God
will sustain us in times of persecution.
Pray.
After
the man railed out at me because of the writing I had done on the blog, I was
asking God to somehow restore me.
As
I sat quietly, I was reminded (by the Holy Spirit) of
a dream.
In this dream, I
came into an auditorium. I saw my mother
sitting beside my aunt in the middle of the rows of seats.
A man took me to
my seat. It was on stage. A band was seated there and I was to sit in
the position of first chair clarinet in the band.
I told the man
to just put me somewhere at the back of the band. It has been a long time since I played clarinet and I wasn't sure I could remember how to do that.
But he
said that seat had been reserved for me.
There
is no higher position in a band than first chair, first clarinet.
I knew God was
confirming what I was doing in writing these exhortations.
And
I was completely restored from this mans’ email rebuke.
