* II Timothy 3: Perilous times in the last days in the church

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(Having a "form" of godliness shows us this would come through the churches.)

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

***

They come to us saying they are Christian.  They say "Jesus is Lord."

But by that which they do and say they show Jesus is not their Lord.  For they continue in ways opposite to the scripture and often they deny the Holy Ghost when HE tries to lead them and they follow the ways of their own flesh and even the ways of devils who persuade them.

They "resist the truth" when we try to share things of God with them.

Often we have shared many times with them, always hoping they will "see", but they do not see.

I Corinthians 2

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Some were once born again but turned from scripture and went another way and were turned over by God to a reprobate mind.

Romans 1

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

We must turn away from them.

Stop trying to share things of God with those persons who reject the admonition which you bring to them.

Walk away:  no phone calls, no emails, no visiting, no dinners ... just avoid them.

Titus 3

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
