Joan Boney ... apostle and prophet of Jesus Christ, called and set into the body of Christ according to Ephesians 4:11-12
*****
It is not what you did but what has God done?
II Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Before I was born again, I was baptized in water (approximately 1953). But nothing changed. God did not give me HIS Spirit.
Then on August 5, 1975, God spoke to me with the following thought: "Joan ... you know all these mistakes you've been making all these years? Those weren't mistakes those were sins."
Sins? I was shocked! I thought they were "mistakes."
I was changed instantly. God gave me the Holy Spirit to live inside me.
I Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Now I really wanted to know things of God.

But even if we were born again and given the Spirit of God, if we drift away from scripture and follow thoughts opposite to scripture, God could turn us over to a reprobate mind.
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
So we do as Paul said and "examine ourselves" ... Is the Holy Spirit in me? When was the last time the Holy Spirit spoke something to me or led me to do something?

And when we decide we do still have the Holy Spirit in us, are we really doing that which we are told by the Spirit to do?
James 2
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
I have a set of scripture in which I meditate in the morning and in the evenings. And every night I examine myself to see if I actually did those instructions given in those scriptures.

Are you delighting yourselves in things of God or have you gotten caught up in things and people of this world? If that is the case you can go dead to things of God.
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
surfeiting: over indulgence
If you are being around dead people, there is a very good chance you will go dead also.
II Corinthians 6
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Are you "on fire" to know things of God? or have things of God become a burden to you?
