20 Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

I've often heard people ask, "What is that power that works in us?"
That "power" is the Holy Spirit given to the believer at the time God reveals HIMSELF to that believer.
The Holy Spirit in us is a great power:
* He teaches us all things. (John 14:26)
* He reminds us of that which Jesus has said to us. (John 14:26)
* He guides us into all truth. (John 16:13)
* He shows us things to come. (John 16:13)
He usually leads us by bringing thoughts or concepts to our minds.
He searches the heart of God to show us the will of God in the specific issues of this life.
(I Corinthians 2)

Acts 1 Jesus says to the early disciples.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

I John 2
27 But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in HIM
Abide in HIM ... live in those scriptures, doing those instructions as given you by the Holy Spirit of Jesus, who brings to your mind scripture to show you the way to go in the situations of this present life.
Jesus says:
John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus, The Word, is the way to go ... and truth ... and life.
John 8:31 If ye continue in MY word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
Do the Word and keep on doing that Word from God, the Holy Scriptures.
