Jeremiah 14 ... Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain?
or can the heavens give showers?
Can any man cause rain? What a miracle from God.
When I lived in Clovis, NM (USA), I heard a loud boom ... like a cannon shot.
A man thought he could cause rain. He bought a machine which produced a sonic boom which he thought would cause rain by shooting into a cloud.
This went on from time to time for a few weeks then we heard no more about it.
There was a period of time men thought they could "seed" a cloud and cause rain. Then we heard no more about seeding clouds.
What a wonderful miracle it is that God controls rain. Man thinks he can do all manner of things today to by-pass God.
But only God can make rain. It was true in days of Jeremiah and it is true in our days.
