In December, 2020, on NBC evening news they told a report of unusual signs in the sky. Two planets would be closer together than they had been in 700 years. They would look like bright round stars in the southern sky.
I was interested in this story because before Jesus returns God will show signs in the sky.
Joel 2:30-32 God says: And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
(A few days prior to this NBC News Report, I had seen a report on CNN telling of the volcano erupting again in Hawaii. Could this be part of the signs in the heavens and on the earth?)

(We have not yet seen the sun go dark as described in verse 31. That should get the full attention of the church. For that shows the powers of heaven being shaken before Jesus returns to gather the elect.)

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
The newscaster went on to say, "Maybe this is the Christmas star like the time the star led the wise men to the baby Jesus."
I replied, "Idiot!"
The star showing the birth of Jesus was not called a "Christmas" star. (The word Christmas is not in the Bible at all. The word Christmas was made up by humans.) And this star happened more than 2000 years ago and has no reason to happen again since Jesus has already come to this earth in the form of a man, and has already suffered and died for the sins of all men. Jesus will not be crucified a second time.

But we do know by the Bible that God will bring signs in the heavens and on the earth before the second coming of Jesus. And we take note of such when we see such.
The great tribulation comes on this earth. Revelation 8, 9, 16
Then the powers of heaven are shaken, where the sun goes completely dark and the moon does not shine and the stars fall from heaven and "the powers of heaven will be shaken." Matthew 24:29
Then Jesus returns in the clouds of heaven. Matthew 24:30
Worldly men, such as this newscaster, will speculate as to what they are seeing. But we who are of God and know what is written in the Bible, will know.
I watch, for I know these things are coming!
(Then I pray for wisdom each time an event occurs ... and I read the Bible and depend on God to show me if anything we have seen is part of those things described in the Bible.)
The one thing that should be clear is when the sun goes completely dark.
Also when we see a great earthquake strike the entire world and cities of the nations fall we should recognize the 14th plague. Also with that event, the islands flee away and the mountains cannot be found. (Revelation 16)
But I watch almost daily.
