(Comments by Joan Boney, apostle and prophet of Jesus Christ according to Ephesians 4:11-12)
The apostle Paul said:
I Corinthians 2
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Paul didn't come speaking of Jesus as the flesh of a man. Paul didn't come showing the church that Jesus walked on such and such street. That would benefit no one. Paul didn't come showing the church where the tomb of Jesus was located. That would not bring anyone any benefit in a spiritual way. Paul came sharing Jesus Christ and HIM crucified, meaning that Jesus who died and was raised by God and lives in each child of God. This is great benefit to the church.
Today, so many ministers plan clever enticing stories for their sermons. But these things, while entertaining the congregation, do not cause you to make changes in your life. These clever things do not bring us closer to God. These things entertain the flesh but do not bring the power of God.
We share by the power of God as we speak those things brought to our attention by the Spirit of God.
Jesus said:
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Jesus spoke as HE heard from God. This does the work of God.
As God calls to our attention a scripture or a concept, we share that, knowing it is of the Spirit of God and by sharing "that" we meet the needs of the people who hear us.
We do not plan cleverly devised stories before we come to speak, stories which tickle the flesh of man.
Instead we pray asking God to have us speak only that which HE wants spoken, and then we share that which God brings to our mind as we speak to the church.
