* Job

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 5:10-11   Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Job was greatly afflicted.  Here is the critical evaluation of Job.

Job 1:22    In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Endurance in the midst of trials:

I Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

When we fail to see the way to escape, we can pray, for we know that there is a way to escape and God knows that way to escape.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

The end of Job:

Job 42:12-13    So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.

In the temptation:

Pray:

I have often prayed:

"God, please don't let me do that!"

"God, please don't let me say that!"

God has always answered my prayer when I have prayed this in temptations.
