What do we do in the midst of the sin of this world?

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

The apostle Paul says to Timothy ... 13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. 15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them:for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.  I Tim. 4

Toward the end, before the return of Jesus, Jesus warns us:

Mt. 24:12-13 ...  12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

To endure in the midst of all the sins we are seeing today and in all the approval of sins, we must take even greater effort to surround our minds by the reading of Bible and the reading of godly exhortations.

(For this reason, to help the church in these evil times, we have written 13 ministry books available on amazon.com ... see "Joan Boney" for listing, description of books, and pricing... available in e-books instantly and in paperback large print, shipped all over the world through Amazon)

There are many times in evening, I turn off TV for I know it will not edify me in ways of God ... and I go to my bedroom and read these ministry books for they are filled with information about way of God, scriptures showing various doctrines, and words from God which build and help sustain faith in God.

We must make diligent effort.

Paul once told Timothy:

I Tim. 4 ...  7 But refuse profane (secular) and old wives 'fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little:but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Spiritual exercises:  reading and thinking about the application of Bible and godly exhortations into your life.  Continuing in the instruction of God.  Reproving the doctrine of God.  Making changes to our lives as needed to conform us to way of God.

There is a daily need for us to exercise ourselves in ways of God.

Aren't the days on this earth growing more evil?  This shows the eminent return of Jesus for the church.  This open wickedness must happen before Jesus returns.  Wickedness proceeds the wrath of God at the end.  The cup of evil must be full before the wrath.  And it is very obviously filling before our eyes.

As never before, sin is being approved and flaunted before us in this world.

Why?  Because now the homosexuals/lesbians ... adulterers/fornicators ... feel safe and approved by society so they can do their various sins openly, before all ... they once did these sins in secret.  Now they feel freedom to sin before all.

In 1936, the king of England, renounced his thrown so he could marry a divorced woman.  What does this show us?  In that short time, the sin has been eliminated by the thinking of the world at large.

At that time, Bible still had a carry over into parts of the world.

Jesus says:  whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.  (Mt. 5:32)

In 1936, King Edward VIII went to parliament to try to get it approved for him to marry a divorced woman.  Parliament said the English people would not accept a divorced woman as queen of England.

What would they do in 2016?

In USA it is getting to point where "anything goes" ... and anyone who stands up against the sins will be persecuted.

Even in the manly field of USA football, players who have spoken out against homosexuals have been greatly chastised by the ruling body of the NFL.  One player was suspended for an entire year because of his objection to an homosexual team mate.

Now if anyone dares to speak out in public against sins such as homosexuals, that person often apologizes the following day and retracts his objection.

In 2016, the US Navy announced they will name a new ship for a homosexual man who was first to announce his homosexuality before he was elected to a political office.  This man was former navy.  He is being lauded and praised today by US Navy.  At one time, not so long ago, homosexuals were kept out of military service.  Then the military, under pressure, instituted the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy.  Now open homosexuals are praised for their "courage" in telling they are homosexual.

In case anyone doubts, here is what God has to say about homosexuals/lesbians in the Bible.

Romans 1 ...  24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

(We must keep our minds renewed to that which God says for that is what matters.)

Thus sin becomes "without restraint" and sinners feel approved in various sins.

Don't they feel "peace and safety" today as never before?

And what does the Bible say about this?

I Thess. 5 ... 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ (The WORD), 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
