* If church people want to cast their troubles on you.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet of Jesus Christ, who gave ministers to the church after HE arose into heaven, according to Ephesians 4:11-12.

*****

Turn people to God.  Do not become their god.

Do not allow those people who say they are Christian to cast their cares upon you. For in doing this they try to make you their God and burden you, and they sin for they by-pass God.  Do not be partaker of their sin.

Instead try to turn them to God who has all answers and knows future and cares for HIS people.

They sin when they fail to turn to God and fail to honor HIM.

Therefore, turn them to God by telling them if they will pray, asking God what they should do, then God will help them.  Remind them that God knows the future and humans do not.

Share scriptures with them to try to turn them to God, such as:

Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

When they turn to us as "gods", casting their cares on us, they might not be a real Christians.

If we try to turn them to God and they continue in their own way of burdening us, then we need to free ourselves from them by doing the following:

Titus 3

9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

We often get letters from pastors asking us to "shepherd" their church.  Or to "mentor" their church.

It would be evil to do this for the Lord is our shepherd.  He guides us.  He gives us wisdom.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.  (for HIS Word's sake)

Many come saying they are Christians when they are not Christians.

Jesus warns us this will be rampant in the last days before HE returns.

Jesus says:

Matthew 24:5-6  Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

God is not teaching them when they will not do the word of God and cannot hear those things the Bible tells us to do.  So neither can you share things of God with them.  They will burden you and wear you down.  And you will never be able to help them for they do not get their wisdom from God and they cannot hear from God for they do not belong to God.  The churches today are filled with these people because it is the end times.

I Corinthians 2:14   But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Matthew 11:15   He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

My cousin is 97 and has been in Church of Christ all her life.  She is a "faithful" church goer, never missing church meetings.

She said to me, "I do well in day but at evening I get so lonely."

I said with excitement:  "When you begin to feel you are going down, just call on God for help.  HE will help you."  And I told her to do Philippians 4:6-7.

The next time I heard from her she said:  "I do well in day but at evening I get so lonely."

At that point I did what God told us to do in Titus 3:10-11.  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

We must not try to share things of God with people who say they are Christians after we see they will not do the word of God.

They will worry us and we will find ourselves troubled over them and they will not get any better.  So for naught we will go down with them.

We will not be able to live in peace while being concerned over them; therefore we will not be able to do that which the apostle Peter says to do in keeping ourselves ready for the return of Jesus.

II Peter 3:14    Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

So if we try to be around those, who will not do the word of God while calling themselves Christians, we will end up sinning along with them.

We must keep our own selves ready for Jesus' return by doing the scriptures.
