God has not appointed us to wrath

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Multiple times in Bible we read about the wrath of God that is to come upon the whole world.

It will be incredibly terrible.  In one section of scripture it even tells of 1/3 of the sun failing to give light ... I believe that means the world will have 1/3 less daylight than we do now.  It will likely affect growing seasons for food and cause terrible food problems on this earth.

That "wrath of God" is coming on the earth because of the sins of humans.  (just as in the days of Noah but God will not destroy the world by water as before ... God has appointed other destructions which we are told about in Bible.)

The apostle Paul says ...

I Thess. 5 ... 1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day:we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

(This "watch" is a watch of our own flesh that we not return to the works of the flesh and thereby join this world but rather that we "watch" and keep our own flesh "down", not allowing the "old man" to surface by our flesh ... continuing to keep our flesh dead, crucified with Christ ... continuing to serve God rather than serving our own flesh.)

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

The wrath of God that is coming upon the earth is described in many places in Bible, both OT and NT.

Many years ago, God gave me a dream showing me a significant problem coming upon this present earth.  In this dream, the earth slipped on it's axis.  People were terrified.  The religious leaders and worldly governments of men were meeting together with the scientists to see what they could do about this.  A TV newscaster was trying to give the report of what happened on TV but he was so frightened he could no longer speak and just ended the TV newscast!

In Bible, we are shown many parts to the "wrath of God" that is coming upon this earth.

At one point we read about 7 angels who have trumpets to sound and when they sound these trumpets disasters occur to worldly men on this earth.

Revelation 8 ...  6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth:and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea:and the third part of the sea became blood; 9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; 11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood:and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

(These are just a few of the things coming in the "wrath of God" upon this earth.)

In the Old Testament several of the prophet speak about this wrath that is appointed by God ... Isaiah, Joel, Amos and others tell what God showed them.

There are many parts of the wrath of God ...

Paul speaks of it in Romans 1 and in other epistles.

Peter speak of the total end of this present heaven and earth as we know them.

II Peter 3 ...   10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

God showed the apostle John the new heaven and the new earth and the new Jerusalem "wherein dwelleth righteousness."

Revelation 21 ...   1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

So there is a great wrath of God coming upon this earth.

But for the people of God, God has not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ.

I believe Jesus will come for HIS people and remove both the dead from their graves and the living ...

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.  I Thess. 4
