Escaping the wrath of God which is coming upon the whole world

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Jesus says:

Lk. 21:36 ... Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

We must be watchful concerning our own flesh that out flesh not get control and cause us to go in ways that are unprofitable to us.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  Gal. 5

Jesus warned us by parable to beware of drifting back to this world ...

Mt. 24 ...  44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

We must continue the race to the end of the race.  Those who stop in the middle of the race receive no reward!

The apostle Paul tells us how important it is to keep our own flesh under control.

I Cor. 9 ...  24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Various emotions of our flesh are just lying there inside us waiting for their opportunity to surface and rule over us.  For example, consider hatred and strife!  Someone says something to us and our flesh springs into action, if we let it do so ... debating, striving, hating, exalting itself, coming to life again ... We have to recognize what is happening and put it back under control of God by watching and praying ...

Jesus says ... Watch and pray that you may be counted worthy to escape that which is coming.  Mt. 24

What is it we are watching?  We are watching our own flesh that we not allow it to take over.

Therefore we continue worthy as we keep our trust in God and in HIS way as we live on this earth, knowing as Paul did that in our flesh there dwells no good thing.  (Romans 7)

The apostle Peter told us what to do to be ready for the end of this world.

Peter said ... II Peter 3 ...  10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

If we allow it to do so, the flesh will stir us up into ways that are without peace, debating-arguing-striving-hating ... and our spiritual clothing will then have "spots" and we will blame others and end up condemning ourselves ... the reward will be dreadful if we do such!

So we must not do this.

We must hold fast to the way of God, keeping our own flesh under through prayer ... being very watchful of our flesh, not allowing it to take over when it tries to rise up ... continually holding fast to God through prayer, "God, please don't let me say that ... please don't let me do that."

When we keep ourselves in God this way, we will never fail.

Thus be watchful about our flesh ... and pray always to keep it under control.

Also it is very helpful to keep our minds on the truth that Jesus' kingdom is not of this world.  (Jn. 18) ... neither is our kingdom of this present world ...

This present heaven and earth will be destroyed by God in HIS wrath as we see in Bible.  There is a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.  (II Peter 3)  That is what we look for just as the holy men of God looked for this in the past times.  (Heb. 11)  We keep our hope in God and in that which HE has prepared for us!
