Acknowledging of the truth is after godliness ... Titus 1:1

On TV (2016) they aired a 5 part series entitled OJ: Made in America

A man identified as being OJ Simpson's "pastor" said, "The only problem I saw is OJ didn't come to church enough."

OJ Simpson identified himself as having "received Jesus".  (This was when OJ Simpson was still married to his first wife, before the scandals.)

Here is what the Bible tells us to do if any man calling himself a brother be a fornicator ...

I Cor. 5 ... 11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

When the pastor made this statement that OJ Simpson should have come to church more, it was after OJ Simpson was shown as an adulterer and fornicator and after he was tried for murder and after he had been sent to prison for kidnapping in Nevada.

This pastor, like much of today's church world, does not consider what the Bible has to say about the subject of fornication, covetousness, idolatry, drunkenness, extortion, railing ...

They want to counsel, "love", get the wrongdoing "brother" to come to church ... The Bible instructs us to put such a brother out of the church when we see such.

Years ago, a woman mentioned a certain man's "girlfriend." This man was a member of our church group and was even Bible teacher in the church.

I went to him immediately questioning him about this "girlfriend."

At first he was evasive.

Then I point blank asked, "Are you having sex with this woman."

There was no shame at all displayed by him as he answered, "Of course."

I told him: "You know the Bible as well as I do. I will have no more communication with you."

He said, "OK ..."   He didn't show any signs of shame, repenting, or even caring.

But I did what the Bible says to do.

The Bible doesn't say to counsel or pray for such a person. The Bible tells us not to keep company any more with such a person and we are told to put him out of the church. (I Cor. 5)
