We are God's building
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
God plants HIS word into our hearts and minds and brick by brick we are built in HIM. We are created by HIM, by the Word HE gives us. Aren't we much farther along in God now than when we first believed? Through the years, God has given us HIS concepts upon which to build and as an edifice of God we are continually raised up in HIM as we live on this present earth.
God explains it to us through the examples given of Peter ...
Mt. 16 ... 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? 14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist:some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
God gave this concept to Peter ... It was not learned by other men. Nor was it of Peter's own emotions. God put this truth in Peter ... This is the revealed word from God. The gates of hell shall not prevail against that word given us by God.
Many works are not of God. They might be "good" works and still not be of God.
Many works done by man are works of their own emotion!
I can get very emotional over TV ads about homeless animals. I quickly turn these off when they come on screen. I know my flesh cannot stand seeing this.
Seeing homeless children and needy people can also greatly stir us up ... often by emotions.
Fund raisers depend upon the weakness of the flesh of man and they present many cases to us to get money from us.
But the only work that will stand is that work God shows you to do.
The works done by our emotions will not stand and when they are tried in the fire they will dissolve into nothing.
Paul explains it as follows:
I Cor. 3 ... 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest:for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
It has been my experience that when God authors a work, God also provides for that work in every way... in ability to do that work ... in money needed to do that work ...
Humans are often burdened by their good works, not having enough money for the work. And usually when this happens they turn to fleshly means to get money for their work, trying to get money from other humans.
But when the work is really of God and not of my own emotions, I have found the money is there also to pay for the work without burdening myself or other people.
We must be very careful that it is God who told us to do what we are doing. Only that will count in all eternity.
