God gave Joshua an assignment. Then God said to Joshua:
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Did God tell me to do this? If so, it is my assignment from God. I do that assignment and I continue to do that assignment as long as I live on this present earth.
