* Have faith in that which God speaks by HIS Spirit.

(Comments by Joan Boney)

Recently a fear came to me and I turned to God in prayer and He brought the following to me by HIS Spirit.

"But my God shall supply all your need."  (Philippians 4:19)

I completely relaxed for I knew that was God speaking to me and I knew that is what would happen.

I never hunt for a scripture when I am troubled.

I pray when I am troubled and depend on God for HIS help.

Then I can have real faith in God when God speaks to me this way.

Faith comes by hearing that Word spoken to us by God in the issues pertaining to this life.

We can have faith in God when we know it was God who spoke "that" word to us.

We cannot stand on a scripture unless God brings us that scripture by HIS Spirit, for to try to stand on a scripture that we have found for ourselves, without the Spirit of God, is to trust in ourselves and "try" to have faith ... but when we hear the Word from God by HIS Spirit we have faith built into that Word for we know it was not of ourselves but from God.

When we have a question about something, we can try to figure it out and still be wrong.  Instead we must turn to God and ask God and wait until God chooses to reveal the answer to us.

An example:  A woman told me when she saw her husband she heard, "He's going to be your husband."  But this woman was divorced.  How could the Holy Spirit be speaking that to this woman when it was against scripture for her as a divorced woman to remarry?

Many years later, I was reading in Galatians 1 and saw the following:

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from HIM that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The following day, I was thinking about verses 8-9 of Galatians 1, and the Holy Spirit reminded me of this divorced woman and what she said she heard.

Instantly my eyes were opened and I realized this woman heard from "another spirit" concerning marrying this man after she was divorced.

For the Holy Spirit will not go against scripture as that spirit that spoke to her went against scripture.

There are good angels and evil angels.  Later we will judge angels.  (I Cor. 6:3)

This woman heard from an evil angel.

Galatians 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

There are evil angels who speak to humans.

Psalm 78:49  HE (God) cast upon them the fierceness of HIS anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

And why would God send evil angels among them?  Because they were willful against HIS Word and would not hold to the truth but had their own lusts leading them and they lived in hypocrisy and lies among the church.

Sadly this often happens as people in religious settings seek their own will.

We must cling to scriptures and live in God's will by the scriptures.

I Corinthians 7:39  The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.

Romans 7:1-3 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

I Corinthians 7:10-11  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Mark 10

2 And the Pharisees came to HIM, and asked HIM, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting HIM.

3 And HE answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

4 And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

10 And in the house HIS disciples asked HIM again of the same matter.

11 And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:32  Jesus said:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

- When a man divorces a faithful wife, if she remarries she commits adultery.  But her husband who divorced a faithful wife will be the cause of the faithful wife's adultery.

- The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth.  HE will not tell you to do something that is contrary to scripture.  The Holy Spirit will always uphold the scriptures.

But a lying spirit can tell you opposite to scripture so you can be destroyed.

II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Some people will be destroyed because they will not hold to scripture when scripture is contrary to their own desires for themselves.
