17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of
the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there
should be mockers (imitators) in the last time, who should walk
after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves,
sensual, having not the Spirit.
They
come saying "Jesus is Lord" and the people of God accept them because
they say "Jesus is Lord"... but they make a "mockery" over scripture,
explaining away scripture to pursue their own lusts of their own flesh
and to encourage others in the lusts of the flesh.
They "mock" imitate the real people of God so they can even look like
a real person of God but they do this by imitation, copying, for they
have not the Spirit of God inside them to lead them. They are lead by
their own fleshly reasonings, by their own minds and lusts.
These mockers of the last days are ministers in the churches themselves ... and members of the congregations in the churches.
This is the anti-christ (opposite from Christ / opposing the Word of God).
This is the falling away of II Thess. 2 ... which must happen before Jesus returns ...
It is not a falling away from going to church ... It is the church group falling away from scripture and setting up another doctrine.
This is the end time anti-christ, a spirit, operating with in the church groups, casting aside the Holy Scriptures to allow man to please his own flesh.
II Thess. 2 ... 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means:for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(That "man of sin" is a spirit inside men who fall away from scripture and go in an opposite way from scripture, explaining away scripture, and exalting themselves and others to be above scripture ... This is inside the churches. The world has always done this. The churches will do this toward the end, and are doing this now as you read this writing.)
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work:only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
