Faith is believing what God says.
Faith is not believing in our own desires.
Faith always starts with hearing from God. We cling to that which God says.
Abraham heard from God. Abraham did not go out by His own will. Abraham heard from God to go out and then Abraham believed what he heard was God speaking to him and he obeyed what he heard, believing it was God speaking to him.
Faith is always based on God speaking to us.
Jesus said: Jn. 5:30 ... I can of mine own self do nothing:as I hear (from MY FATHER), I judge:and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
