πŸ’₯ Persecution for the Word's sake.

Very often when I speak or write, the devil will try to get me to erase the writing or recording.

When I ask God to establish me and show me if that is what HE wanted me to write, often HE will say to me:  "Is what you spoke truth?"

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Romans 8:33-34 33

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth?

(The devil condemns us after we have done the will of God or after we speak the word of God.)

But we take the condemning thoughts to God and God restores us in HIS way and keeps us going in the way of God.

I Peter 4:19  Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to HIM in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

πŸ’₯ The love of money is the root of all evil, says Bible.

I Timothy 6

1 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and HIS doctrine be not blasphemed.

2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;

14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:

15 Which in HIS times HE shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane (secular) and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Abraham put his trust in God, not in man.

Genesis 14

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

If we make our decisions because of money, following after money, we are in danger.

If you take a job because it pays more money while you hate the work or location, then you are in danger.

If you go into debt to give your family a better life, you may end up giving them a worse life.

Please consider carefully the godly exhortation and instructions given by the apostle Paul in I Timothy 6.

Podcast: Jesus chooses HIS ministers.

John 15   Jesus says:

Ye have not chosen ME, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in MY name, HE may give it you.

Jesus, from heaven, chooses HIS ministers for HIS church today.

We hear from Jesus and HE has a way of making it clear to us when HE has chosen us.  Jesus speaks to us from heaven to call us and to show us that ministry office to which we are called by HIM when HE calls us.

And Jesus teaches us how to do the work for that ministry to which we are called when HE calls us.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

After I was born again, in the night I was transported into heaven.  I was with God and Christ and the Holy Spirit.  (I saw no physical images.  It was a spiritual experience.)  At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.

A few nights after this, the exact same thing happened a second time.

I was on fire then for things of God!

I owned a small business at that time and I had 3 women who worked for me and they were totally capable of running the business without me.  So most days, I stayed home and read the Bible.  Some days I also went to a prayer group or a church meeting or a Bible class. But mostly, God taught me as I read the Bible.

God took me to all the passages in the Bible (Old and New Testaments) where prophets were doing the work of God.

At the prayer group, God started teaching me the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit which were assigned to me by God.

As the women were praying one day, I heard:  "Look up."

I opened my eyes and looked up and on the wall I saw an outline of a body part.  I said to God, "I know that is a part of the body but I don't know which one."

Immediately I heard, "Stomach."

"That's right!"  I said.  (I remembered the old Pepto Bismol ads of a stomach.)

After the women quit praying, I said, "Does any one have a stomach problem?"

One woman cried out:  "I do!  I do!"

(This was my first experience with receiving a "word of knowledge", and delivering that word to the church.)

After that, I frequently had a word for the Bible class at church.  Our teacher would always say, "Does any one have a word from the Lord."  And after he asked that, I would deliver what I had heard from the Holy Spirit.

Often when I attended a prayer group or Bible class, God would give me a word for the group.  All I had to do is learn to yield myself to the Spirit and speak at an appropriate time during the meeting.

I Corinthians 14:32-33  And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.  For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

40   Let all things be done decently and in order.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jesus from heaven gives ministers to the church today:

Ephesians 4:8; 11-12   Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.   And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

As Paul was called by Jesus from heaven, so are we today called by Jesus and appointed to the work of various ministries for the church today.

Acts 9:1-6  And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,  And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto himSaul, Saul, why persecutest thou ME?

5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt THOU have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

God may communicate with us in a slightly different way than HE did with Paul or Moses, but HE does reach us to show us that we have a call of God on our lives.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

One day, I was driving down a road in my car and God spoke to me and said:  "I have called you and set you in the body of Christ as an apostle."

I cried out, "Apostle?  What's an apostle?"

(God had been strongly teaching me from the Bible about the work of a prophet and I believed that was likely my calling but I had no idea at all concerning the ministry work of an apostle.)

I never told anyone at that time about either of these callings.

So often God would give me one of the spiritual gifts when I attended a prayer group or Bible class and I always yielded to God and spoke as appropriate at the group.  But I never revealed a ministry calling to anyone by telling them the ministry offices to which I believed I was being trained by God.

I was attending Word of Faith church at the time these things happened to me and one Sunday morning from the pulpit, our pastor, Robert Tilton, said, "Joan Boney is not called as a teacher.  She is a prophetess."

I had never told anyone this anywhere.

When Bob said this, our Bible teacher said, "That's it!  A prophet."  I had been attending his class for about 4 years and often he wanted to tell his class that I was a teacher but he always had a "check" in his spirit when he started to say I was a teacher so he held back these words.   Now he knew!  I was a prophet!

But no one knew that I was also called as an apostle.

(Remember how I was taken into heaven twice and merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God?)

After I heard from God concerning apostle, I went to the teacher of the Bible class and asked him, "Who are the apostles at our church group?"  He didn't know, though our church professed to believe there are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers in the NT churches today.

I asked our teacher, "What do the apostles do in the church."  He didn't know.

I had no human example of the work of an apostle, but God took me to the Bible to teach me.

Acts 15 ... a problem concerning church doctrine arose in the church.  The elders and apostles came to Jerusalem to discuss the matter and to present to the church the correct doctrine.

v. 6  And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

The Pharisees brought an opinion.  Barnabas and Paul made a statement.  So did Peter.

Acts 15:13-20   And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:  Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for HIS name.  And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,  After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:  That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom MY name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.  Known unto God are all HIS works from the beginning of the world.

19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:  But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

This pleased the group so they wrote to the Gentiles and told them these doctrinal decisions.

Today we have the NEW Testament Bible to show us doctrine and to establish the will of God, but many churches today have fallen away from specific Bible scriptures.

Apostles will try to reestablish the NT Bible doctrines in the hearts and minds of the elect of God.

I often speak concerning the following:  divorce and remarriage; homosexuals and lesbians; and other sins in the church, presenting scriptures and reasoning through the various scriptures on the issue at hand.

Some churches today get swept away from Bible doctrines in their desire to approve and please people of the world and to try to get these worldly people to "come to church".

But people are not born again through approval of sin.  People are born again when the Spirit of God shows them sin and they agree with the Holy Spirit of God, repenting and turning away from their sins, doing such sins no more!

The apostles and prophets today will never turn from the Holy Scriptures but will continually uphold scriptures before all.

These are perilous times as Paul said they would be in the end time church.

2 Timothy 3   Paul warns:

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

πŸ’₯ A reminder:

As you read the writings on today's blog, store up scriptures as needed on your file where you make screen prints of scripture.

As we near the end of this world and the return of Jesus we need even more exhortations and scripture to help us to endure those things that come upon this earth.

Isaiah 26:3-4

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE.

4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ Romans 14:19

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Each of us must consider what makes for peace in our own lives.

When we are troubled, we learn to pray.

Doing as Paul told us in the following scripture.

Philippians 4:6    Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

If we see something in the news that troubles us, pray ... let your requests be made known unto God.

If another person says something that troubles us, pray ... let your requests be made known unto God.

And when we do this, God promises the following:

Philippians 4:7   And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

And we edify others when we speak that which the Holy Spirit brings to mind when we are talking with that other person.

For ourselves, we pray, read the Bible, and meditate upon various scriptures, doing the instruction given in the scriptures, and settling ourselves with the Word of God daily.

We exercise ourselves in godliness through following the Spirit of God daily.

Play close attention to the scriptures presented in this blog today, meditating on those scriptures and collecting those scriptures which the Holy Spirit causes to stand out to you.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ What is important to us?

After I was born again in 1975, I was invited to attend a very big event in Dallas called The Crystal Charity Ball.

I owned a small business in American Indians Arts at that time and had many very wealthy customers.  I think one of them put me on the invitation list.

But I had invited my pastor and his wife to come to dinner at my apartment that night.  And nothing was more important to me than this.

When I learned the Crystal Ball was the same night as the dinner with my pastor, I called to cancel the Ball.  The woman in charge said, "But you can't cancel.  We've seated you between Mr. Stanley and Mr. Richard." (owners of Neiman-Marcus)

I said, "Well you'll just have to find someone else to put between Mr. Stanley and Mr. Richard because my pastor is coming to dinner and no one is more important to me than he is."

I was so honored when pastor accepted my invitation to come to dinner at my apartment.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

πŸ’₯ The second coming of Jesus.

Luke 17

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

First Jesus raises the dead.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Then the elect of God who are still alive at the coming of Jesus will be given new spiritual bodies and the angels will gather them and remove them from this earth and they will meet Jesus in the air.

Matthew 24:29-31

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Many will fall away before the coming of Jesus when the problems of the end times come.

Matthew 24:12-13  Jesus says:  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The apostle Paul tells us men will grow more and more evil before the end and the times will be perilous.

2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jesus will not come until churches fall away from scripture and antichrist moves into the churches.

II Thessalonians 2

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

(In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving the churches.  The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures.")

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(Antichrist comes through the churches as a spirit in people. I Jn. 2:18-19)

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The devils working in this world and in men of this world will bring great violence to this world in the last days.

Revelation 12:12 ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Jesus says:

Matthew 24:21-22  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Luke 21  Jesus says:

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Podcast: Taking thoughts captive

Thoughts come to us.

Some thoughts are from our own flesh and those things taught by men of this world.

Some thoughts are from devils who would like to destroy us and will destroy us if we allow him to do so.

John 10:10  Jesus says:  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

And some thoughts are sent to our minds by God by HIS Holy Spirit!

God helps us and restores us to His way and leads us to salvation through HIS Word.

We follow what God says to us.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The devil sends negative thoughts to our mind and will destroy us if we allow him to do so.

The devil especially hates the Word of God and will often condemn you when you speak to others telling them of scriptures or of that which God has done in your life.

Romans 8:33-34  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth?

The devil condemns us by bringing destructive thoughts to our mind, especially when we are trying to follow God or do the work of God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We must pay attention and deal with each destructive thought in a spiritual way, through turning to God in prayer and asking God to confirm us and establish us again in what HE wants us to do or say.

Thus the apostle Paul instructs:

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (The Word);

It is critical for us to understand how to take thoughts captive ... and for us to take each thought captive to bring that thought into agreement with The Word of God, the Holy Bible.

πŸ’₯ Increasing our self control and calmness in spite of what is going on today in this world.

Comments by Joan Boney:

From the time I was born again in 1975, God taught me to collect scripture and meditate upon scripture to go in the way of God while living on this earth.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

I've never stopped doing this.

As we come closer to the return of Jesus, we see violence increase on this earth.

This should not surprise us because we are warned in the Bible that it will grow worse as we draw nearer to the end of this world.

The apostle Paul tells us this:

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

And the Bible tells us the devil will be more fierce toward the end time.

Revelation 12:12 ... Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

With this knowledge, I encourage you to help settle yourself by collecting and meditating on scriptures as you read today's blog.

I make screen prints of scripture as I read the blog daily.  I use my Kindle tablet to transfer screen prints to my Kindle Photo's.  I read some of these scriptures almost daily.  I find this very helpful.

As you read today's blog, I encourage you to collect those scriptures that you find especially needful at this point in time.

πŸ’₯ Taking thoughts captive

Corinthians 10:3-5

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

As Christians, we must be certain that we are doing the following day by day when cares come upon us or when we are troubled:

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And when we do this, the promise of God is as follows:

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When we cry out to God for help, God will help us, then we rejoice in The Word God brings to us and the devil, who has sent fearful and depressing thoughts to our mind, will flee from us.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

If we take in thoughts sent from the devil, he will eat us alive.

I Peter 5:7-8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

πŸ’₯ If a man will not work, neither shall he eat.

The apostle Paul says:

2 Thess. 3:6-12  Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

7 For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

It always amazes me when I see able bodied men being given food at religious organizations without working.

And I am also amazed to think of Christians who should know the Bible giving money to religious organizations to give free food to able bodied men who will not work.

A man approached me outside a grocery store once asking me to give him $1 to buy gas.  He certainly appeared to be able bodied and since I know these scriptures I said to him:  "No ... you go get a job and pay for your own gas."

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The apostle Paul also said:

I Corinthians 5:11;13   But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

13 ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I believe scripture.  And I believe we should do what scriptures says.

And I believe the following scripture.

2 Timothy 3:16-17  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Podcast: Ephesians 3:20

Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

That power that works in us is the power of God from the Holy Spirit who guides us into all truth, reminds us of that which Jesus has said, teaches us all things, and shows us things to come.  (John 14:26 and John 16:13)

As we follow the ideas that come from God we are greatly blessed.

James 3

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Matthew 11  Jesus says:

28 Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

If a plan will greatly burden you and is overly expensive and complex, this is not a plan for you.  Return to God and ask God for HIS wisdom.  HE will give you wisdom.  (a promise from God.)

James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

πŸ’₯ Joshua 1:9

Recording:

God said:

Have not I commanded thee?

(Did God tell me to do that thing or say that word?)

If so:

Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

God has spoken to me many times.  I can't begin to recall each time I've been led by God since I was born again in 1975, but I can give some examples of hearing from God and knowing it was God leading me and sharing those words and instructions given me by God.

Here are a few examples:

1976 ... When I owned a small business in Dallas.  A woman took me to court.  God said to me:  "Don't testify."  The people around me that I considered to be friends tried to get me to testify.

πŸ’₯  "Be strong"  (Joshua 1:9)  Go forward doing the Word that you believe you heard from God even when others around you try to get you to go another way.  Because you believe it was God speaking, you must be strong in doing that which was told you because you believe it was God who told you that thing.  You must not allow people or devils to convince you to turn from what you believe God said.

πŸ’₯  "Neither be thou dismayed."  (Joshua 1:9)

dismayed:  shaken by others; unnerved; daunted; unsettled; thrown off balance by them; troubled; disturbed; turned aside by their words; saddened by them; disheartened; dispirited by them.

Isaiah 26:3-4  THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Often someone who identifies himself as a Christian will try to dissuade me from what I have said I believe God has told me!

Jesus said:  "Your foes will be they of your own household."  (Mt. 10:36)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

December 6, 2018:  I fell at my house in Texas.  As the ambulance workers rolled me past the front door of my house, God said to me by HIS Spirit:  "You'll never see this house again."

Because of "that word" which I believed was from God, I put my house up for sale, even as I was in the hospital. (Not knowing where I would be going.)

A woman from our church group said to me, "I don't see how you can do this."

I replied:  "I heard what I believe was from God ... You'll never see this house again."

I was in rehabilitation hospitals after surgery for 2 1/2 months.

The house remained for-sale.

I flew directly to Colorado Springs, Colorado, after I was released from hospitals on February 24, 2019.

The house in Texas remained for-sale.

I never saw that house again.  It sold on May 15, 2020.

2012 Pam Padgett filed for early retirement from Fed Ex because she believed God told her to do so.

She heard the following scripture:

Micah 2:10   Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

(She went forward with what she believed she heard from God although her retirement pay was much less than her salary.)

When she told me what she was doing I was concerned because of two things:  Her monthly income was reduced by approximately 2/3 per month ... and she would have all that extra time to fill each day.

God had a plan for her which neither of us knew and she went forward based on the Word, trusting God, even not knowing the plan God had for her.

This is exactly like Abraham did when God spoke to him.

Genesis 12

11  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him;

(Abraham departed not knowing where he was to go ... nor did he know God's plan for him when he left his father's house ... Abram just left, trusting God ... doing instructions compatible with that which he believed God said to him ... This is the essence of faith in God, faith in that word which we believe God spoke to us.)

I did not try to stop Pam from retiring because I knew Pam knew how to follow God.  I was sure she would confirm, by prayer, that direction which she believed to be from God.

A few weeks after Pam retired from computer programming at Fed Ex, God gave me a dream showing me to begin a blog.  I asked Pam to set up a blog for us.  She had the skills needed to do this, and now that she was retired, she had the time needed to set up our blog.

Then in 2015, I began writing self-published ministry books on Amazon.

Doing self publishing requires computer skills which Pam was able to do to get our books published.

Then by dreams, God showed me to begin doing Podcasts.

Computer skills were required to set up Podcasts and Pam did that!

Then in June, 2018, Pam was led by God to do some construction at her house, converting a downstairs room into a bedroom and changing her downstairs 1/2 bath into a bath with shower.

(At that time Pam wondered:  "What is going to happen to me?"  All her bedrooms and full baths were upstairs.  She had been helping her neighbor, Jim, as he grew older and had to live in his upstairs bedrooms while becoming physically disabled. Also Pam had fallen down her stairs at that time ... and once she was in her garage and reached for a box and her back "went out" temporarily.)

But Pam believed she was to change her house so she would have that bedroom and full bath downstairs even though she didn't need to use it at that time when she was building these downstairs areas.

Construction was finished January, 2019.

I moved to Pam's house on February 24, 2019 ... I could not have moved there except for her having that bedroom/bath downstairs, because I could not climb stairs when I was released from hospital.

God knows what HE is doing!  We follow HIM by faith that we have heard from HIM.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Hebrews 11:7  By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

πŸ’₯ Those who bear no fruit to God.

Luke 13:1-9

1 There were present at that season some that told HIM of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

6 HE spake also this parable;

A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

How do we bear fruit to God?

* Each time we share that which God has given us we produce fruit to God.

* Each time we live godly lives, we produce fruit to God.

πŸ’₯ Concerning gathering meditation scriptures

Comments by Joan Boney:

For the past few days, I have presented examples of collecting scriptures from the blog and podcast which you can use to meditate upon to strengthen things of God in you.

Now I ask you to set up your own scriptures as we go forward as you read the blog or listen to the Podcast.

Acts 17:11-12   These (in Berea) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.  Therefore many of them believed.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Also remember to write down dreams and focus on them for God leads us strongly by dreams.

For myself, I make screen prints from sections of our blog where I know I need to focus from time to time.  And I add to the collection any scripture brought to my mind by the Holy Spirit of God.

I recommend that you do that for yourself, if you are not already doing that, for we are greatly helped by meditating on scripture.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

As we meditate upon scripture it becomes a part of us and we grow stronger until it becomes a way of life for us.

Ephesians 4:29  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Psalm 119:105  THY word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In the end times, people of this world will become more violent and irrational.

2 Timothy 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

And I can see by Hebrews 10:25, that exhortations need to increase toward the last days.

Hebrews 10:25  ... exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

So help yourself by collecting scripture and by looking at that collection of scripture from time to time in the days ahead.

James 1

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
