πŸ’₯ Podcast: Many Christians today suffer greatly because they fail to apply the Word of God to their own lives

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 25, 2020)

Christians often deceive themselves for they hear scriptures or read Bible, but they fail to do the Word spoken in the scriptures.  They fail to grow spiritually.  And like a baby, they can only take milk and not the strong meat of the word.

Hebrews 5

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

*****

My cousin, who is now 97 years old, has been in Church of Christ since she was a baby.  She faithfully attends their meetings.  But she does not apply basic scripture to her life.  And therefore she lives tormented.

Only when we apply scripture to our lives can we live in peace and joy, overcoming through God by the application of the Word to our lives.

Example:

My cousin told me she does well during the day but gets down emotionally in the evenings.  (Her husband died 10 years ago.)

I replied: "When you begin to feel the problem coming on, if you will turn to God and ask HIM for help, God will help you."

I shared the following scripture with her.

Philippians 4

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

A few days after this, my cousin wrote to me and she said:  "I do well in the daytime but in the evenings, I have trouble."

This cousin will not apply the word of God in her own life.

She seems to trust in her church, but she shows that she does not trust in the Word of God.

When this is the case, the individual will grow weaker and weaker.

James 1:22   But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Also, concerning my cousin, I put her away from me, not communicating with her again because she had shown me she would not do that word I gave to her by the Spirit of God.

Titus 3

10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;

11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

***

Examine yourself:  Which scripture are you trying to live right now?

If your mind is a blank and you are not trying to do any scripture, you are like a person who has fallen asleep ... dead and dying.

For our life is in Jesus, the Word.  In HIM there is life.

But if we are doing no "word", no scripture, where is the life?  It is probably in your church group.  For when you go to church you "feel" like you do good, but you grow weaker and weaker, often telling your problems to other people and burdening people with your troubles, rather than turning to God and growing in God as HE shows you what to do and you do what you feel God has shown you to do.

If you continue in that way of life, taking pleasure in your church rather than in the scriptures, God will turn you over to a strong delusion and will bring destruction upon you because you refused the love of the truth that you might be saved.

II Thessalonians 2

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

***

God turns them over to a reprobate mind who refuse to keep HIM (The Word) in their knowledge.

Romans 1:28    And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

***

Every time we do a scripture, we are recreated in the image of Jesus, the Word.

During the early months of the Coronavirus in March, 2020, I began watching television news.  In a very few days, I found myself to be troubled, where before I had been living in peace.  The troubling was because of the newscasters, not because of the virus.  I found the newscasters trying to spread hatred against the President.  (I am very non political, but I do not want to hate whichever person is president.)  I knew I had to get myself free from television newscasts.

I saw a scripture which I knew would free me if I could "do" that scripture.

So I began keeping these verses before me day and night and doing the instructions.

Proverbs 1

10   If sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

15  Walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

I kept Proverbs 1 before me day and night.  I thought about it in the morning and again as I went to bed in the evening.  I began thinking of ways I could apply these instruction to my life.

In approximately two days, I removed all news channels from my TV guide.  So when I was looking for something to see on television, news channels did not appear on the viewing listing on screen.

I began reading Bible in the hours where I had been watching TV news.

In June, 2020,when I wondered what was happening with Coronavirus, what were the numbers in the cases, I had the following thought brought to my mind which I believe was from God.  "In September you'll be able to tell by the number of people who are in the football stadiums."  I knew if the fans were allowed back into the stadium, the situation was lessened.  I knew to control my curiosity and focus on my own life which was not changing at all by the virus.  I still read Bible, prayed, heard from God, wrote on our blog and recorded Podcasts.  Just keep doing your job!

So that is what I did.

Psalm 119:105   Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

***

I'm still working on Proverbs 1:10;15-16 ... trying to order my life by these instructions.

I look at these 3 verses when I awaken each morning.  I think about what I am doing throughout the day, often structuring my activities by these verses, doing what they say to do.

When I go to bed at night, I look again at these verses ... thinking of, "Did I do these things this day?"

James 1:25   But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

I just keep judging my life by Proverbs 1:10;15-16 ... doing those things appropriate to the instruction of these verses of scripture.

In time, I know there will be another scripture to do.  For now this is still the scripture for me to do.

I know the following is true:

Joshua 1

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

I've been living this way for the past 40+ years and have had very good success and have grown in ways of God by living the various scriptures called to my mind by the Holy Spirit according to the needs in my life at that moment.

It is a great joy to me to have a scripture to follow ... or to have a word of instruction.

Also I am following these things:

* A word given to Pam Padgett in January 2020,   "Podcast"   Followed by a dream given to me in early February, 2020.  I opened my front door and kittens were everywhere.  Some were starving to death.  I went into my garage and there were more starving kittens, just waiting for me to feed them.

I prayed, asking God what this meant and I heard ... "The church"

I knew God was leading me to begin Podcasts to exhort the church.  So immediately we found how to do this, bought recording equipment, put these Podcasts on our daily blog, and we continue to present these exhortations for the church as I record, by faith, that which I believe God is showing me to record.

The following scriptures also lead me constantly and have for the past 40 years.

Hebrews 3

12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

(exhort means:  to urge earnestly by advice and warning.)

So this is what I do.

What scriptures are you following at this point in time?

***

John 15  Jesus, the Word, says ...  I am the true vine, and MY Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in ME that beareth not fruit HE (God) taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, HE purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in ME, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in ME.

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in ME, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without ME ye can do nothing.

If a man abide not in ME, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

πŸ’₯ Philippians 4 (Reading through Bible)

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.  12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: According to Bible, things we can expect to see before the second coming of Jesus

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 26, 2020)

Jesus said the powers of the heaven would be "shaken" ... And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  Luke 21:25-27

Many years ago, God gave me a dream where the earth slipped on it's axis.  People were terrified.  A newscaster was trying to report what happened but he was too frightened to continue his broadcast so he just got up and left ... The government leaders were meeting with scientists and religious leaders to see what could be done about this matter.

Nothing can be done by man to stop that which is coming upon this earth.

The thing the believers can do between now and then is to get their own lives in good spiritual condition ... for it is coming!

*****

Luke 21   Jesus says:

25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

***

First comes the signs in the heavens.

Peter spoke of this in the following scripture:

Acts 2

17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

(The name of the Lord is "The Word of God" ... I believe Jesus is coming to take to Himself those who follow the scriptures and connect with God through prayer daily, settling all concerns with God in prayer.)

***

Joel 1

15 Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

16 Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?

17 The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

19 O Lord, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

20 The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

In the first of the plagues that are to come in the great tribulation, we see "fire and hail" ... and we see trees and grass destroyed by that which God sends.

I think the cattle of the fields will suffer, as well as the humans, when the wrath of God comes upon this earth.

Those things coming are not caused by man but by God.  And no one can stop that which is ordained by God to come upon this earth.

***

The first plague of the great tribulation:

Revelation 8

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

We can see how this could affect the pastures of the field and how Joel could have prophesied about the cattle as follows:

Joel 1

***

Joel 2

1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

11 And the Lord shall utter His voice before his army: for His camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth His word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered:

(The name of the Lord is The Word.)

I think this shows us to follow the scripture right now, between this time and the coming of the various events where the heaven is shaken and Jesus returns.  For Jesus returns for the Word's sake and those who follow "The Word" will be gathered up unto Jesus in the air and removed from this earth.

***

Joel 2:15

15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:

16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation,

I consider that I have been "blowing" one trumpet after another with these Podcasts.  I've even thought of these messages which God is currently giving me as trumpets sounding the alarm so that those who can see and hear can prepare themselves for that which is coming.

None of us know the exact day, month, year when the day of the Lord comes.  But Jesus keeps telling us it is like seeing the leaves on the trees for when these begin to show up don't we know the winter is ending and another season coming?

The increase in sins on this earth show us the wrath of God must not be too far behind for the wrath comes in order to judge the sins.

Joel 2:21  Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

It reminds me of how the Lord did great things in Egypt and with Pharaoh in the plagues that God sent to judge the land of Egypt and to deliver the children of Israel in the Book of Exodus.

Joel 3

13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.

Revelation 14

6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

***

Joel 3

14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

(The individuals who say they are Christians must decide to follow the Word of God, the Holy scriptures, and they must actually do the Word of God in all the days remaining on this earth.)

15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

(The "Lord" is "The Word" ... The Word shall be the hope of His people.)

A great many church people today do not put their hope in The Word and they do not follow The Word.  They follow the doctrines of men and people in the church groups.  This will not work.

***

I seem to recall many of the other of the Old Testament prophets speaking of the day of the Lord.  But I would think these scriptures would get your attention on the matter of  the coming great tribulation and the second coming of Jesus.

Luke 21   Jesus says:

33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but MY words shall not pass away.

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting
(over indulgence), and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always  ..... that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

(We need to watch that which we are doing ... and pray always, connecting with God, turning to God now, seeking HIS wisdom through prayer ... taking all our daily concerns to God one problem at a time and allowing God to show us what to do about the issue of this life which causes us concern... and then doing that which God has shown us to do.)

My concern is you, the church.  I am often troubled when individuals send me emails, for they think themselves to be religious, but I see problems because God shows me problems.  So I bring warning to you and ask God to help me concerning my trouble over you.  And each time I pray over the trouble you bring to me, God restores my soul.

Prayer is the way to go!

Philippians 4

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

II Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

πŸ’₯ Philippians 3 (Reading through the Bible)

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Hymn: I'm pressing on the upward way

1.  I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

Chorus:

Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Heaven's tableland;

A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

2.  My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

3.  I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

4.   I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

Scripture pertaining to this hymn:

v. 3.  I want to live above the world,

Matthew 7:24-27    Jesus says    whosoever heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

We live above the world by doing that Word given us by God by HIS Spirit.  We press on to higher ground each time we hear the Word of God and do the Word of God.  We build our house on the Word of God by doing the Word of God and when we live that way, our house will never fall!

And we are recreated in the image of Christ each time we do the Word of God.

***

v. 4   But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
Lord, lead me on to higher ground.

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Pray:  Pour your heart out to God if anything concerns you.

Then use that scripture or concept to build yourself in the faith, thereby resisting the thoughts sent by the devil with that which God has brought to your attention by His Spirit.

Keep focused on that which God has given you in the matter at hand and every time a memory comes that would pull  you  down, make your mind return to thinking about that which God has given you in the issue.

II Corinthians 10:3-5    For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

πŸ’₯ Podcast: One step at a time. One step at a time. It is enough.

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on June 9, 2020)

On January 10, 1980, God spoke to me in the night while I was sleeping, to give me words of instruction as follows:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"

By these words, God put me on radio to exhort the church.

One of the offices given me for the church by Jesus is the office of a prophet.  (Eph. 4:11)

Prophets are sent to the church.  But God says in the Bible the church will not receive the prophets that HE sends to them.  Also the churches kill the prophets by stopping them from speaking to the church.

So God put me on radio to speak to the church.

The church ministers and congregations could not censor my broadcasts although when I spoke judgment messages, after being on radio for approximately 3 years, some of the radio stations, two of which were owned by Jimmy Swaggart, put me off the air.

*****

One other thing, I need to mention immediately, is this:

When I was born again in 1975, God led me to get out of debt and to stay out of debt.  If I had been in debt at any point in the next 40 years, I don't see how I would have been able to do the things God showed me to do.

***

Several years after radio,  God showed me in a dream to begin writing a blog.  (Starting in late March, 2012)

No one censors the blog so I write everything I believe to be from God.

Then God showed me to write ministry books on Amazon, beginning in 2015.

No one censors these books.

Then in 2020, God showed me to begin Podcasts, which we added in February, 2020.

No one censors these broadcasts.

These exhortation for the church go all over the world today on blog, by books, and by Podcasts.  They are free to all, and it costs the ministry almost no money to send these out by these methods!

And critical is the point that I am free to speak anything God gives me.

By prophets, God sends corrections and warnings to the church, so we who are prophets must be able to speak without censorship

***

Through the years, the people who sent offerings decreased greatly.

But we have an abundance of money today, in spite of the small number of people who give us offerings, because God led me in a way whereby we prospered wonderfully!

***

* 1984:  God led me to build an apartment on property owned by my dad. (Cost: $45,000, but my dad left me $50,000 so I could pay cash for this building and had no mortgage, no debt.)

* 1987:  Purchased lot on local golf course. (Cost. $13,250 ... paid cash)

* 1990: I sold apartment and built a house on golf course for my mother and myself. (Cost $100,000 ... paid cash)

* 2002: Sold house on golf course for $227,000.

* 2002:  Began construction on another house and moved to Lubbock, Texas.  (Paid cash, no mortgage, no debt ... used money from sale of previous house and I loaned the ministry all my personal money which was left to me by my family ... used this money for construction expense)

* Approximately 2003: Stopped receiving salary from ministry and paid for my personal expenses with money received from monthly USA Social Security.

* 2018:  Accidental fall at my house required me to have surgery.  By that time I was age of 81.  After surgery, moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to live in home of a member of body of Christ.

She didn't want any money for my room/bath at her home but I insisted on paying her $575 per month for this, which included office space for ministry.

* January, 2019: House in Texas put up for sale.

Until Texas house sold, we had to pay utilities and other expenses to keep up the house in Texas.  We also had new expenses in Colorado.  Because of my physical condition after surgery, I could not walk up the steps to get into Pam Padgett's house where I was living.  So we had a ramp installed which I paid for with personal savings.  We added a concrete slab for parking of my car.  I had to purchase a small sized bed for my room. And we had moving expenses for other furniture brought from Texas.

By this time, our offerings were so small that Pam and I had to pay for ministry expenses out of our own savings.  We knew we could repay ourselves after house in Texas sold.

* May 15, 2020:  House in Texas sold for $307,000.  This allow us to reimburse ourselves for expenses which we had paid during the previous 1 1/2 years.  And ministry still had $190,000 cleared from sale of the Texas house which we put into Money Market account at bank.

The various building projects between 1984-2003, started with a cost of  $45,000 and finished with profit of $285,000 after sale of Texas house.  (after title expenses and realtor fees which we paid on Texas house.)

***

So through the accumulation of money each time we sold property, we have enough money now to pay for ministry even though we have only a few people giving offerings.

Through the past 40+ years I have never been a salaried minister at any church.  I have been kept free to speak anything God has given me to speak.  I had not had to hold back messages for fear of what they might do to me in those churches if I spoke the messages given to me by God.

God arranged it for me to freely operate in the office of a prophet.

Hebrews 13:5-6

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for HE hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

***

I have endured much grief from people who say they are Christians, who have tried to stop me from speaking to the church as a prophet of God.

But God always provided ways for me to speak to the church through radio, through blog, through books, and now through Podcasts!

Through the years, many who once gave offerings to ministry left me and stopped giving money.

But God always saw that I had money and provided for all needs to be met even when there were less offerings.

The various houses which I built between the years of 1984-2002, ended up providing $190,000 to be used to support the ministry today, so there is no need.

And expenses for the ministry changed dramatically through the years, decreasing!

The exhortations go all over the world today and are available to all persons without charge.

* Blog:  no expenses to ministry
* Books on Amazon cost us nothing to publish and we receive a small royalty each month for books that sell on Amazon.
* Podcasts: Cost $100 per year  to send through our podcast host, Podbean

***

As you can see, God made a way for me to distribute exhortations and corrections to the church without being censored and even without expense to ministry.

God made a way for us to have money even with a very small number of people giving offerings.

God made a way for all messages to go all over the world without cost to us.

And when I am persecuted by the church people because of the messages I speak, God always restores my soul and sets me back on my feet and renews my joy in HIS Word.

(For it is a way of life for prophets of God to be persecuted by the church people because of the messages from God.  All through the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, we see the prophets persecuted by the churches and by the Jews, to whom God sends the prophets.)

***

So God keeps me and leads me and continues to see that good comes to me on this earth.

And I am fully persuaded that God will continue to support me as long as HE chooses to leave me on this present earth.

Also I know all this was planned by God.  None of us could have planned these things.  Only God knows what is in the future.

Only God knew that there was going to be Internet, blogs, podcasts, and e-books.  None of these things existed in 1980 when I began in ministry.

God had every step planned and all I had to do was follow God:  "One step at a time.  One step at a time.  It is enough."  God said to me.

And that is all you have to do.  Follow what God shows you, one step at a time.  Then as you look back, you will rejoice in God, in that which God showed you to do, and not in that which "you" did.

Ezekiel 2:3-7   And HE said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against ME: they and their fathers have transgressed against ME, even unto this very day.

4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.

5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

7 And thou shalt speak MY words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

2 Timothy 4:14-15 Paul warned of an offender by name ... Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
15 Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

Ephesians 4:8,11-12  Jesus sets ministers in the church ... Wherefore HE saith, When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

2 Corinthians 6:14   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
