Having food and raiment, let us therewith be content. I Timothy 6
God has nice surprises for me! Yesterday I was watching a documentary on WWII when Pam came into my room wanting me to meet someone. It was our new neighbor. He was born in Africa, the son of missionaries. He is a pilot for United Air Lines International route!
I shared the recent information God has given me about the end of this world and what to take note of, watching for the destruction of Jerusalem! And I gave him a recent writing showing order of what to expect according to Bible.
He said to me, "You're never depressed." I said if something happens to trouble me, I just pray and God makes me joyful again.
I have fun things in my life, and quite a lot of variety!
I'm a night person. I love to read the William Shier books of WWII. I just watched 2 hrs. of Gilder Radner films from the 70's.. I often get up around noon and if I'm sleepy I go back to bed and sleep until I feel awake, and often God will show me something to write and I get up and write it for the church. (I love to write when God gives me something and I try not to write unless I'm sure God wants me to tell that.) I avoid people who trouble me.
When I awaken each morning, I can ring the bell and Pam comes and makes coffee and fixes me a biscuit with French jelly. Then Pam (I live at her house) shows up between 4-5 pm to see what I want to eat for dinner. She is happy and filled with faith and by nature joyful. We enjoy a little trip out in the car God had us buy which is almost a year old now. (a Mercedes) The two big dogs go with us. We also have cats which we love.
We have no debt and really have anything that we want.
I have a double window in my bedroom and can see clouds and trees and weather which I greatly enjoy. Soon we will have snow and can have a fire in the fireplace.
I quit being a football fan this year because you have to worry if you are a fan. I still watch some football.
I don't care who becomes president of the United States so there is no pressure.
I rarely go out of my bedroom and am totally joyful most of the time.
Follow peace, joy, godliness keeping your goal on patiently waiting until Jesus returns for HIS elect and removes us from this earth and takes us to the new heaven and new earth and we get to shed these fleshly bodies so there is no pain or sorrow. (Rev. 21:1-5)
If we know what the Bible says, and we belong to God, I think we have good reason to be happy all day long while we wait!
(I'll be 87 this coming month. I try to avoid medical doctors and certainly don't get involved with troubles of this world, politics, elections ... keep my trust in God to work it out. I just mostly share God and entertain myself.)
I'm convinced God wants us to live in peace ... keep ourselves joyful daily. Turn from people who trouble us and things that trouble us. Focus on Bible and what God says.
