The end time "Days of Vengeance"
Luke 21:20-22  Jesus says ... And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

There are many words of prophecy in the Holy Bible which have not yet been fulfilled which will be fulfilled during the time of "the days of vengeance."

I believe we have entered this period as of 2024.

* 7 armies surround Israel now.  Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah working out of Lebanon from north, Iran from southeast, Lebanon from north, Houthis in Yemen to south of Israel, and militias in Iraq and Syria, have launched attacks on Israel and U.S. forces in the Middle East, raising the risk of a wider regional war.

... more than a dozen proxy terror groups that have taken their orders from the Iranian regime, threatening civilian lives around the world.

The terror groups today present an acute threat to Israel, with an estimated 150,000 missiles and rockets aimed at the Jewish state. (Internet: Hezbollah, Hamas, and More: Iran's Terror Network Around the Globe )

The Bible in Luke 21:20-22 tells us this: And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Because of this verse of scripture in Luke 21, I have kept an eye on attacks that would be made on Israel.  I see this as a "trumpet" showing us the time "the days of vengeance" told us in the Bible announcing the wrath that comes from God and the eventual return of Jesus and the end of this present heaven and earth when the dead in Christ are raised and those elect of God are removed from this present earth.

We saw beginning of major attacks on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked from Gaza.  Another major attack came in April, 2024, from Iran.  And yet another from Iran against 3 cities in Israel, one being Jerusalem, on October 1, 2024.

I would expect to see escalations of attacks against Jerusalem until the scripture in Luke 21:20-22 is fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem itself.

I check news from Israel daily on the following website: https://www.cnn.com/world/middleeast/israel

And here is a map of the nations surrounding Jerusalem:

To me, the major thing to watch for will be the destruction of Jerusalem.

After that, God sends "The Great Tribulation" upon the whole world where God's 14 plagues are loosed as judgments on this present heaven and earth before the earth is destroyed by fire by God.

The shaking of the solar system where the earth is moved is also a key event at the end of this world.

Matthew 24:21-22  Jesus says:   For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Isaiah 13:13   Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Continuing Matthew 24  (Jesus says)

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

We will be taken to the new heaven and new earth wherein dwells only righteousness.

Revelation 21:1-5  (the apostle John was shown this in a vision)

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

Before we are taken into heaven, we will be changed from these fleshly bodies into our new spiritual bodies.  Since we won't have flesh, we can see how we would not be subject to pain of flesh as we have on this earth now.

I Corinthians 15  (changed to new spiritual bodies:  described by the apostle Paul)

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased HIM, and to every seed his own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep
(die), but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

There is no marriage in heaven says Jesus in Bible.

Matthew 22:30  For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The apostle Peter describes "The day of the Lord" when God destroys this present heaven and earth with fire.

2 Peter 3

10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The apostle Paul says:

I Thessalonians 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
(go before) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Revelation 22 (Jesus says)

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and MY reward is with ME, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

So the destruction of Jerusalem signals the beginning of the end of this life as we have known it.

Luke 21:20-22  Jesus says: And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2 Peter 3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

God views time differently from the way we view time.  To us it has been 2000 + years since the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, but to God it has been a little more than 2 days.
