πŸ’₯ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. (I Jn. 5:19)

In 2022, it was disclosed that one of the newly elected congressmen from New York had named two universities on his resume, which he had not attended, and also named two prestigious businesses on his resume by whom he had not been employed.  He also said his mother had died in 9/11 which was not true.

A lack of integrity.  (integrity: truth and honesty)

How close are we to the coming of Jesus and the end of this world?

The Bible shows us that people will get worse toward the end of this world.

2 Timothy 3  (Paul says)

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(They often attend church without obeying the Word of God in the NT scriptures.  They love their churches more than they love the scriptures.  So we find these deceivers in both the world and the churches which are often apostate.  Just turn away from such and do not keep company with them when they are identified to you.)

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; (That God taught you truth.)

15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

It will get to be very bad toward the end of this world.  Jesus warned us that the last days will be so bad that no flesh will be saved unless the time is shortened, but for the elect's sake the time will be shortened.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Matthew 24  (Jesus says, concerning the last days)

12  And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

(Hold fast to truth of God from the NT Bible.)

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

At the end, men shall be worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

This world will get worse and worse.

James 4:4 ... know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

I wouldn't go to a barbeque where the enemies of the doctrine of Christ congregated.  I would walk away from such and not put myself on "friendly" terms although I would not allow hatred into my heart concerning such a person.

They will vex you with their conversation when you are around them.  They will be as "thorns in your sides and pricks in your eyes."

And they could cause you to sin!

I often pray:  Psalm 51:10  Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

But hold onto peace through God by prayer and by putting the wicked away from you.

Don't allow yourself to be swept away by the wicked.  Pray.  Ask God to save you from the wicked.

Paul simply tells us:   Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  (2 Tim. 3:5)

They may go to church but when they do not live according to the doctrines of Christ in the New Testament Bible, just put such away from your company and turn from them, as the apostle Paul said to do.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Live in peace by doing the following instruction.

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Jesus taught us to pray:  "Deliver us from evil."  (Mt. 6:13)
