Acts 18:28 For he (Paul) mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
We speak the same thing Paul spoke for we try to convince the church people to follow scripture, Jesus, The Word: For Jesus the Word of God, the Christ, the Messiah, the deliverance, and when we follow Him, The Word, we free ourselves from this present earth. And we free ourselves from sin when we do the Word.

Following The Word:
* II Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
* I Timothy 6:6-12 But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Follow after scriptures: By the Word of God we have freedom from sin for it keeps us from sin when we follow the scriptures, Jesus, The Word of God, the deliverer.
All we can see with our natural eyes will be destroyed by God when Jesus returns to gather the church to HIMSELF and to take the church to the new heaven and the new earth which is created by God for the church.
This world fights over this world and the things of this world.
But because we see that which is invisible to this world, we know our kingdom is not of this world. So we don't fight to hold on to things we can see with our natural eyes knowing these are not our real inheritance because our inheritance is of God and is far better than the things of this world.
Let it go. God will give us far better than we can give ourselves!
