When we hear The Word from the Spirit of God, calling The Word to our memory, we have an anchor for our souls and we see depression and discouragement replaced by the Word of God.

Thus Jesus cast out the spirits with HIS Word.  Mt. 8

We build ourselves up in the faith by reading Bible and godly exhortation.

I might be feeling just a little sluggish or draggy ... but after reading godly exhortations for a few minutes, I find my countenance changes back to hope, and even to excitement in things of God.

Mt. 8:16 ... When the even was come, they brought unto HIM many that were possessed with devils:and HE cast out the spirits with His word, and healed all that were sick:
