Patience

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

James 5 ... 7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

We have times in life when we have to wait for something ... and it can get to seeming "past due" and we may find the temptation to take action, often hostile action ... In such times, it is very important to "establish our hearts" in what spirit we really are ...  turning to God in prayer and asking God not to allow us to do that which our flesh wants to do against another person.

We establish our hearts through prayer and by considering that which is brought to our minds by the Holy Spirit.

Scriptures such as following are helpful in developing patience.

Jesus said:   My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.  Jn. 18:36

Is it really that important?

When we keep focused on the truth that this world and all these things are temporary, how important can our project be?

Col. 3 ...  1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Heb. 13 ... 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have:for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. 6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

There may be that brief moment of fear as to what man will do ... will he overcharge me ... will he make the right decisions in providing that which will work best for me ...

Our helper is God ... and when we are established in this, the fear is extinguished as to what man will do to us.

Sometimes there is a "pressure" to get after the person when the project is delayed ... But I have found it is better to pray and ask God not to allow me to do anything to that person ...

The thing about the prophet JOB is this ...

Job 42 ... 12 So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning:

In the end it all worked out even better than thought ...  because really God is in charge!
