Years ago I had a dream where it turned dark all of a sudden. In this dream my husband and I were getting ready to go out looking to buy a new television.
In the dream, I was ready to go. He wasn’t ready yet so, as I waited for him, I walked down the street to a grassy area where there were no houses. It was still light but kind of dusky looking, close to sunset, when, all of a sudden, it turned completely black. It was terrifying to see this happen and my first thought was to run back to my house where I would be “safe” which I believe was a panicked fleshly response.
But that response was quickly replaced with the knowledge that what was happening was the return of Jesus. So I simply fell to my knees and the dream ended.
One thing that stood out to me later when I thought back on the dream was that I had no thoughts or concerns about my husband or my children. Nor any thought, at all, about my life on this earth. All of that was over.
Jesus was returning.
