πŸ’₯ Following God is our only safety.

Barbara Preston, member of the body of Christ

Recently my husband and I were looking to move. I knew the move, itself, was authored by God, showing me that as we got older we would need help with certain things and it would be best for us to move closer to where my adult children live and to move to a smaller house on one level, as it was getting harder and harder for me to climb stairs with my arthritic knees (the house we lived in at the time had three levels to it.)

I approached this project in a prayerful way, knowing that God knows what is best for us, always. I have seen evidence of this over and over in my life since being born again.

But one day, during the house hunting phase, I read there were some new houses being built close to the beach. My flesh got stirred up thinking how wonderful it would be to live just a couple of blocks from the water.

But when I thought about going to look at some of these houses, I felt a definite lack of peace.

So I turned to God, asking HIM about this and was reminded that this general area gets hurricanes, from time to time, and then this thought came to me … Do you really want to live two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean with a big hurricane rolling in?

That quickly got my attention and knocked out my “dreamy“ thoughts.

God knows what our future needs will be and everything we will face as we live on this earth.

And HE led us to a house right for us, at this point in our lives, right house, right location, and I am so thankful to God for all the wisdom and help HE has given us.
