π₯ Podcast: Psalm 5: God's view of wickedness
Scriptures:
On Thursday’s podcast when Joan was talking about God telling her to sell their old sound equipment, and that everything sold and people were even contacting them to see if they had anything else to sell, it reminded me of when Jesus told the disciples to cast their net into a certain part of the sea and they had an abundance of fish.
6 And He said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
π₯ Acts 15 (Reading through the BIble)
2 When
therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation
with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of
them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this
question.
(This is one of the main things the apostles do in the church ... set church doctrine ... establish church doctrine for the New Testament church. )
3 And
being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice
and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused
great joy unto all the brethren.
***
4 And
when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and
of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had
done with them.
5 But
there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed,
saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to
keep the law of Moses.
6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
***
7 And
when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them,
Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice
among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the
gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them (the Gentiles) witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as He did unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
10 Now
therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the
disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
12 Then
all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul,
declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles
by them.
***
13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:
14 Simeon (Peter) hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His name.
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After
this I (The Word) will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which
is fallen down; and I (The Word) will build again the ruins thereof, and I (The Word) will
set it up: 17 That
the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles,
upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world.
(The apostle James then presents the ruling that will govern the doctrine in this matter for the NT church.)
19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
(The apostle James had the decision which would set the doctrine in
the New Testament church for them to follow concerning circumcising the Gentiles ...
the decision was not to circumcise the believing Gentiles.)
20 But
that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols,
and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
22 Then
pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send
chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas;
namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
23 And
they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders
and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles
in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.
24 Forasmuch
as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you
with words, subverting your souls, saying, "Ye must be circumcised, and
keep the law:" to whom we gave no such commandment:
25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (The Word).
27 We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That
ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things
strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye
shall do well. Fare ye well.
30 So
when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had
gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
***
32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas (a prophet to the NT church) to abide there still.
35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
36 And
some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our
brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.
37 And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.
38 But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.
39 And
the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder
one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; 40 And Paul chose Silas (a prophet), and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.
41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
(Confirming the churches in the doctrine of Christ, THE Word of God.)

Comments by Joan Boney:
By prophecy, God told me: I have ordained you and called you as an apostle.
I was very shocked. I had no idea what this meant. I asked Bible teacher at our church what the apostles do in NT church. He didn't know.
Then I asked God about apostles and what they do today in the church today.
God took me to this section of scripture, Acts 15, to show me how HE anoints apostles concerning the doctrine of Christ for the NT church and gives rulings concerning doctrine to the NT apostles for the church.
NT apostles consider the issues, consider the Bible, are guided by the Holy Spirit to the ruling on the doctrines. And when fully persuaded, state the doctrine to the congregation.
For example: Can women remarry after divorce?
(What do the scriptures say?)
* Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
(If the divorced woman remarries she will commit adultery.)
* I Corinthians 7:10-11 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
(If wife does leave husband, she must remain unmarried or return to husband.)
* Romans 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
NT apostles will redirect individuals to what the scriptures tell us by the Holy Spirit to restore our thinking to ways set by God HIMSELF.

π₯ Podcast: Ephesians 3: The "power of God" that works in us
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
Scriptures:
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
π₯ Acts 14 (Reading through the BIble)
2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
3 Long
time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave
testimony unto the word of His grace, and granted signs and wonders to
be done by their hands.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
***
5 And
when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the
Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about: 7 And there they preached the gospel.
(If they won't receive you as you share The Word, just go elsewhere.)
***
8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and (Paul) perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 And
when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices,
saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the
likeness of men.
12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 Then
the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and
garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes (making themselves look as nothing in the flesh), and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And
saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions
with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities
unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all
things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless
HE left not HIMSELF without witness, in that HE did good, and gave us
rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and
gladness.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19 And
there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded
the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing
he had been dead.
20 Howbeit,
as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the
city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
***
21 And
when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many,
they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Confirming
the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the
faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom
of God.
23 And
when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with
fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
***
24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 And
when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they
rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how HE had opened the
door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.

π₯ Podcast: Acts 26: Receiving specific instructions from God
When we are called by God to be a minister of Jesus Christ, God also teaches us what we are to say and do. We don't learn to be a minister of God by hearing from other men. We don't learn to be a minister of God by going to a seminary. Neither do we copy other men.
Like the apostle Paul, we learn directly from God.
I John 2:20-21, 27 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of Him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2 Peter 3:14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things (the day of the Lord), be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Scriptures:
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.
34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
π₯ Acts 13 (Reading through the Bible)
2 As
they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate ME Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
5 And
when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the
synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister.
6 And
when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain
sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus: 7 Which
was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who
called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.10 And
said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil,
thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the
right ways of the Lord?
11 And
now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be
blind, not seeing the sun for a season.
And immediately there fell on
him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by
the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
***
13 Now
when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in
Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.
14 But
when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and
went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15 And
after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the
synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any
word of exhortation for the people, say on.
16 Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
17 The
God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people
when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm
brought He them out of it.
18 And about the time of forty years suffered HE their manners in the wilderness.
19 And when HE had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He divided their land to them by lot.
20 And after that He gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
21 And
afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of
Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
22 And
when He had removed him, He raised up unto them David to be their king;
to whom also HE gave testimony, and said, I have found David the
son of Jesse, a man after Mine own heart, which shall fulfil all My
will.
23 Of this man's seed hath God according to His promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:
24 When John had first preached before His coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
25 And
as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am
not HE. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of His feet I
am not worthy to loose.
26 Men
and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you
feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27 For
they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew Him
not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath
day, they have fulfilled them in condemning Him.
28 And though they found no cause of death in Him, yet desired they Pilate that HE should be slain.
29 And when they had fulfilled all that was written of Him, they took Him down from the tree, and laid Him in a sepulchre.
30 But God raised Him from the dead:
31 And HE was seen many days of them which came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses unto the people.
32 And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers, 33 God
hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that HE hath raised
up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art My
Son, this day have I begotten Thee.
34 And
as concerning that HE raised Him up from the dead, now no more to
return to corruption, HE said on this wise, I will give you the sure
mercies of David.
35 Wherefore HE saith also in another psalm, Thou shalt not suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption.
36 For
David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell
on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
(David's flesh was destroyed.)
37 But HE, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.
38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through This man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39 And by HIM all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
40 Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets;
41 Behold,
ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a
work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto
you.
42 And
when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought
that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
43 Now
when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious
proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded
them to continue in the grace of God.
***
44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45 But
when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake
against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and
blaspheming.
46 Then
Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word
of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from
you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to
the Gentiles.
47 For
so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of
the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the
earth.
48 And
when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of
the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
***
49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.
50 But
the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men
of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and
expelled them out of their coasts.
51 But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came unto Iconium.
52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

π₯ Podcast: I Corinthians 2: The Holy Spirit knows the heart of God on the matter concerning us
Jesus always heard from God, the Father, and we should also.
John 5:30 Jesus said: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear (from God), I judge: and MY judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent ME.
We hear from God the Father by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, who does the following by bringing thoughts to our minds: teaching us all things, reminding us of all Jesus has said, guiding us into all truth, showing us things to come.
John 16:13 Jesus says ... Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
The Holy Spirit in us is the great power of God, who continually searches the heart of God to reveal the will of God to us so we can know what to do on this present earth in the issues of this life.
I Corinthians 2, is a major teaching concerning the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and HIM crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Scriptures:
6 In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.
π₯ Acts 12 (Reading through the Bible)
2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
4 And
when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to
four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to
bring him forth to the people.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
6 And
when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was
sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers
before the door kept the prison.
7 And,
behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the
prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise
up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
8 And
the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals.
And so
he did.
And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow
me.
9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.
10 When
they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron
gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord:
and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the
angel departed from him.
11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent His angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
12 And
when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the
mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered
together praying.
13 And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.
14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.
15 And they said unto her, Thou art mad.
But she constantly affirmed that it was even so.
Then said they, It is his angel.
16 But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.
17 But
he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared
unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison.
And he said,
Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed,
and went into another place.
***
18 Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.
19 And
when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the
keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death.
And he went
down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode.
20 And
Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came
with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king's chamberlain
their friend, desired peace; because their country was nourished by the
king's country.
21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man.
23 And
immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God
the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.
24 But the word of God grew and multiplied.
25 And
Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled
their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.
