Job 5:17-18 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
18 For HE maketh sore, and bindeth up: HE woundeth, and HIS hands make whole.
18 For HE maketh sore, and bindeth up: HE woundeth, and HIS hands make whole.

This
verse reminds me of a decision I had to make many years ago when I was
working at FedEx. I was given two options to choose from:
1)
maintain a higher-position and the salary increases that would go with
that position, but be required to report directly to a company
executive, which would be a much higher-stress situation and require
frequent travel ...
or
2)
take a de-motion in position and continue to report to a manager, which
would result in much less stress and very little travel
Although
prestige of the higher position and the increased salary potential were
appealing, and taking a demotion was hard for my flesh, after prayer I believed I was led by God to take the demotion. This led to a much more peaceful and easy way of life, and I was thankful for being led to go this way.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for HE is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

James 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
