πŸ’₯ Jesus says: If you continue in MY WORD, then you are MY disciple indeed. (Jn. 8:31)

Continue: Go in a specified course of action and keep doing according to those instructions; endure; hold fast to the Word; do and keep on doing.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

James 1

21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit (judge) the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Hearing evening newscasts are like standing by a muddy road as big trucks roar past you.  Mud splatters on your garment.

Our flesh gets bored and wants excitement and we often wander off into trouble.

Most of us battle with this problem.  We want to know what's going on.  It is a type of excitement for us.  And much needless concern comes to us as a result.  I know there are many times when I watch that I end up thinking, "I wish I hadn't seen that. "

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In the 1930's, William Shirer was a CBS newsman stationed in Berlin, Germany.

CBS agreed to allow Shirer to have 5 minutes of radio time to tell what was happening in Germany in the days of Adolph Hitler!  And he was told, "If you don't need the 5 minutes, give some of that time back to us."

Today, where I live, even local news has 2 hours per day of evening TV news!

They have to fill this time so they look for stories that will catch and hold the attention of viewers.  Often the presentations are more sensational and border on speculation which causes the person who watches to take on concerns when they do not even exist.

The apostle Peter tells us to live in peace, without spot and blameless as we wait for Jesus.

We might do that for a season and then drift away, back to the things of this world.

I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

(I certainly admit to having the same problem.)

Sometimes I grow tired of all the world problems and walk away.  Certainly we can pray over the various problems that trouble us.  I find most of the time I don't pray over TV news stories.

It's like that person who wins the lottery.  They can do so much good.  "But most of the time they don't".

The truth is:  Most of the time I don't know "how" to pray.  I don't know the will of God for that person in the news story.

I don't know what God's will is concerning the current wars that we see around the world.  I don't know the will of God concerning USA.

Jesus said: "There will be wars and rumors of wars. Let not your heart be troubled."  (Mt. 24)

I know the will of God for Christians, that we live in the word of God and keep our selves in peace, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The spirit is willing but our flesh is weak.

(So we exercise ourselves in Godliness as we eat and drink daily spiritual exhortations, applying such to our own lives.  Calling on God continually for HIS help against our own flesh.)

Podcast: Proverbs 28 / Wisdom (Vial # 6 of Great Tribulation)

Vial # 6 of The Great Tribulation:

Revelation 16

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And HE gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Proverbs 28

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

2 For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.

3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things.

Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.

8 He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, HE shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

12 When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

14 Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.

16 The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.

17 A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.

18 Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

(perverse:  turned away from that which is good)

19 He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.

20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

21 To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.

(Beware of that man who has respect of persons.)

22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

23 He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.

24 Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

It will get much worse in the days ahead on this earth.

No wonder Jesus said:  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.  (Mt. 24:21-22)

We must learn to operate in God's wisdom, obeying the Holy Scriptures.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

πŸ’₯ Remembering what we have prayed and going in the way of faith in God.

Pam Padgett was diagnosed with aggressive bladder cancer in September, 2022.

We were very shocked!

Of all the people I know, Pam lives one of the "straightest" lives in God that I have ever seen.  She seeks God continually and tries to go as she believes God shows her.  She lives in truth and speaks truth even on the smallest detail.

Recently when I wrote that she had been required to have 5 chemo treatments followed by surgical removal of her bladder, Pam corrected me and said, "It was 4 chemo treatments."  This shows her way of truth even on what seems the smallest detail!

*****

I've never seen her take advantage of anyone.

Often I've mentioned to her to give a worker extra money for the job done for us and she has already done that, giving extra above the agreed wage for the job.  "Going the extra mile."

I've never seen her sound a trumpet before her but she just quietly goes about her business and before you know it, she has done her job!

When there is a problem, she prays.  Often I only learn of the problem after she has already prayed!  She settles the problem with God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In 1982, God gave Pam a dream.  "Pam was shown I, Joan Boney, was her supervisor as we worked in a restaurant."

We work together getting spiritual food out to the body of Christ:  blog, books, Podcasts

During this 8 month battle with cancer, one scripture was strongly brought to my attention.

James 1:17  Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

I see Pam as a "gift of God" to the ministry of the Word of God.  Pam's technical skills set up the blog on internet, and allow me to publish ministry books on Amazon, and allow us to produce Podcasts.

2/3's of the ministry would not be possible without Pam's skills or the skills of someone like Pam.

Also Pam was assigned by God to care for me personally and help me as I live on this earth.

I just kept saying to God, "YOU gave Pam to this ministry and you put me here in her home to live.  I don't believe this will be taken away through this disease.  With YOU there is "no shadow of turning."

This disease was totally incompatible with what I was reading in the Bible.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

During the months of cancer treatment, the devil would send thoughts to me trying to make me plan for another life, but I would not entertain these thoughts sent by devil because the Bible was telling me there is "no variableness, neither shadow of turning" with God.

That one scripture was really all I could think of during this period of trial.

Pam did not have bladder removed, but had chemo/radiation treatments from December 2022 to mid-January 2023.

Then she had 2 medical procedures in April 2023 to see the results of the treatments.

There was no cancer in Pam's body.  It simply vanished!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Faith refuses to believe opposite from that which God tells us and simply holds onto that which God has said to us.

We continually speak words compatible with what God said about the matter at hand.  And our actions during the trial show our faith in the word God has given us.

We know by scriptures, that if it is God's will, it will be done when we pray.

I John 5

14 And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask any thing according to HIS will, HE heareth us:

15 And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of HIM.

I really did not pray for Pam to be healed.  I just kept focused on the fact that this disease was incompatible with what I read in the Bible and what I knew to be God's plan and HIS will, so it could not happen.  She was set here by God for a job and nothing would stop God's plan.

In April, 2023, the 2 tests by the medical people showed no sign of cancer in Pam.  It was simply not there.  The cancer was gone!

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In 2018, I fell at my house in Texas where I was living alone.

As I tried to crawl to the phone, it was just too painful.  I would try but then stop because the pain was so great.  If I didn't get to a phone to call for help, I could die.  No one was due to come to my house until the following Monday.

Then I had a word from God by HIS Spirit and that made the impossible possible.

God said to me, "You can do this."

With that word, I began to crawl.  It took me 4-1/2 hours to reach the phone but I did get there.  I pulled on the phone cord from under the table and the phone receiver shot out across the room and I never saw that receiver again!  But there was a Kindle tablet sitting under that table and it was charging.  If I could get an email out, I felt I could get help.  I managed to send email to our church group which was scattered across the USA in following states:  Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, Houston Texas, Lubbock Texas where I was living, Colorado, and Washington state.

I could barely see to write the email:  I said something like, "fallen ... help ... send ambulance"

A little later, I heard my phone ring and I felt someone had gotten my message and was calling me but I could not get to phone.

Shortly after this, I heard someone trying to open my front door and I relaxed knowing help had arrived.

One of our church members, Pam Padgett, who lives in Colorado, got my email at approximately 7 a.m.  She could not call 911 from another state, so she called the police department in Lubbock, Texas, where I lived and asked them to send ambulance to my house.

As the ambulance workers rolled me past the front door of that house to take me to the hospital, I heard another word from God by HIS spirit:  "You'll never see this house again."

John 16:13  Jesus says:  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

From the hospital, I called a realtor and put the Texas house up for-sale.

That was in early December, 2018.

The house did not sell.  It sat empty in Lubbock, Texas for 1-1/2 years.  I was then living in Colorado.  I just kept saying this to God, when I began to be fearful ... "YOU told me I would never see this house again so I know this Texas house will sell."

It sold in May, 2020.

No matter what it looks like, we just keep holding onto the Word that has come to us from God.  And when we speak during the trial, we speak what God has said about the matter.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

During these trials, there were times the devil would bring me thoughts trying to get me to plan to go another way, but I refused to do that because to do that would deny the Word God had spoken to me about the issue.

I Peter 5:8-9  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith,

The faith is that which God has spoken to you about the situation.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When we believe it is God speaking to us, we continue in that Word HE has spoken, doing that which is compatible with that word which we hear from God.

Now, after these matters fit God's word on these issues, I find myself saying, "Thank YOU that the cancer is gone from Pam."  Many times since April 2023, I've said this to God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Matthew 16

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

(The gates of hell will not stand against that Word given to us by God in the issue at hand.)

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (that word revealed by God) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Podcast: Faith without works is dead

James 2

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16  And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I attended "Word of Faith Church" in the Dallas area from approximately 1978 through 1982.

One day the teacher of our Bible class said, "We talk about faith but Joan Boney lives faith."

When we hear a word from God, we must do that word.  We have faith in the word of God when we do the instructions given by that Word of God.

Examples:

πŸ’₯  2018:  I fell at my house in Texas where I lived alone.  I was badly injured.  As I tried to crawl to the area where I could call for help, the pain was so great I just couldn't crawl.  No one was due to come to my house until the following Monday.  If I just laid there I knew I would probably die on that floor.  I heard a word from God.  "You can do this!"  Because I believed that Word, I made myself begin to crawl.  It took 4 1/2 hours to inch myself approximately 8 ft. but that Word kept me going.

Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ (the Word) which strengtheneth me.

πŸ’₯  When the ambulance workers rolled me past the front door of my house in Texas, I heard a word from God.  "You'll never see this house again."

I put the house up for-sale while I was in hospital.

One of our church group said, "I don't see how you can do this."

I replied:  "God has given me a Word saying, 'You'll never see this house again.' "

(To me, when God has spoken, it is over, done, even before it happens.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Our actions in the events of this life come as a result of believing that word that we believe to be from God.

Because we believe that Word we act upon that Word.

Faith without works is dead.

πŸ’₯ Proverbs 22:10

Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

scorner:  a person who looks down on other people, considering a person to be beneath himself and worthless.

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD (the Word); and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We can see what God thinks about the scorner by the following verses:

Proverbs 15:12  A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.

Proverbs 14:6  A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth.

Proverbs 21:24  Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who dealeth in proud wrath.

Proverbs 3:34  Surely HE (God) scorneth the scorners: but HE giveth grace unto the lowly.

(Scorner: one who looks down with disdain on another person making fun of that person he feels is worthless or foolish.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Podcast: Riches profit not in the day of wrath. (Proverbs 11:4)

The time will come toward the end of this world when rich men will cast their gold and silver into the streets because they will know those things will not save them in the wrath of God.

Ezekiel.7:19  They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

How can God be appeased during The Great Tribulation?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

God knows every evil act of man and man will receive for those things he has done on this earth.

Ahab and Jezebel, his wife, are examples of evil.

I Kings 21

(Ahab covets Naboth's vineyard and Jezebel gets that vineyard for king Ahab.)

1 And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.

3 And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.

4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.

5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?

6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.

7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.

8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.

9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:

10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.

12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.

13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.

14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.

16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.

17 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,

18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it.

(God sees all that we do and "rewards" us for both good and evil.)

19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.

20 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.

21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,

22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked ME to anger, and made Israel to sin.

23 And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.

24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.

25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.

26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2 Corinthians 5

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord,we persuade men.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I Corinthians 10

11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

πŸ’₯ Proverbs 4:14-17

14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil.

15 Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

16 For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

(Comments by Joan Boney)

To me, the path of the wicked are the TV newscasts.

When I do watch, I often keep the sound muted, not wanting to hear the praise often given to the wicked, calling evil good and good evil, puffing up the works done by men which often come to naught.

Not wanting to be frightened unnecessarily by things that often do not even happen.

Not wanting my counsel to come from men of this world telling me what I should do about various problems.  I want my counsel to come from God, who knows present, past, and future.  And HE will tell me.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Concerning medical doctors:

* I have regular appointments with a physician's assistant who gives me prescriptions for Ambien, sleep medication.  I began taking Ambien when I played tournament bridge. And continued after I stopped playing.  (If it weren't for prescriptions for this, I would not likely go to doctor unless there was a real need, for I don't do preventive medicine.)  At 85 now, I avoid a lot of medicines.

* I go to have teeth cleaned every 4 months.

* I go to eye doctor because I have a mild form of glaucoma and take prescription eye drops nightly, when I remember to do so.
At my last appointment, that eye doctor said, "Do you want to return in 3 months or in 6 months." I answered, "In one year." Doctor began laughing!

Other than that, I pray when a problem happens and God often shows me what I need to do.  Occasionally I will feel a need to go to doctor, after prayer, when some problem comes, but not often.

Doctors can frighten me with what might happen so I avoid this type of fear as much as possible.  They might mean well but their training in medicine requires them to tell us what might happen if we don't have tests or take their medicine.

In United States, there is something called "patient rights".  We have the "right" to refuse tests or medicines.  I often exercise this "right of refusal".

I respect medical people, but I also know I have God and HE often leads me concerning what I should do and whether to go to a medical doctor.  I am happy we have medical doctors available.

Pam Padgett was diagnosed with a aggressive cancer of the bladder in September 2022.  The treatment prescribed by a bladder/cancer specialist in Denver, Colorado, was a series of 4 chemotherapy treatments followed by the surgical removal of Pam's bladder.  This meant for the remainder of her life she would have to use a catheter.

We were shocked!

Pam asked doctor what would happen if she did no treatments.

Doctor said, "You'll be dead within 2 years."

Pam is one of the strongest followers of God that I have ever known.  She is a real person of faith in God.

I told Pam only one thing.  I felt God gave me a "word of knowledge" about her situation.  (I Cor. 12:8)  I saw a vision of this cancer.  It was a mass of stuff.  Then all of a sudden it imploded and with a swoosh fell in on itself and completely disappeared.

Pam prayed, asking God to spare her and for something else to take the place of the surgical removal of her bladder.

Chemo treatment with plan to remove bladder began in October, 2022.  They planned 4 treatments then surgery.

The chemo pharmacist gave Pam over 20 pages of information concerning what to expect when treated with the chemo/bladder removal plan.  Then the pharmacist said, "Oh ... you may want to take this page of information also."

Pam read the 20 pages and then thought, "I guess I may as well read that one page the pharmacist included."

On that single sheet of paper was written the following: "An approach using chemotherapy with radiation therapy may provide the same benefits as bladder removal."

Pam said, "I thought this may be an answer to my prayer about being spared bladder removal."

God gave Pam several dreams to help strengthen her and guide her during the coming months.

When Pam spoke with the 5 medical people assigned to her case, none of them encouraged her to do the chemo/radiation.  They said she was not an "ideal" candidate for this type of treatment and they explained why.  But each of them said if Pam chose to do chemo/radiation instead of chemo/bladder removal, they would set it up.  It was a different type of chemo and Pam had already completed 3 of the chemo treatments used for the surgical treatment.

Pam chose the chemo/radiation treatment and they began doing this in December 2022 and it was completed in January 2023.

They would do tests in April of 2023 to see the results of the treatments.

God gave Pam a dream where doctors were examining 2 bags filled with waste to see if there was any disease in either bag.  They found no disease in either bag.

2 procedures were done in April 2023 to see what had happen to the cancer after the chemo/radiation treatments.

One doctor was shocked.  He did not find any cancer.  Three times, this doctor said, "This looks great!"

The cat-scan performed in April, 2023, found no sign of any cancer after the chemo/radiation treatments!

Pam was completely free from cancer!

The apostate churches today:

I avoid going to apostate churches, now that I know from God how to identify them.

More than anything, I want to go to church groups.  Often I pray, telling God how much I want to go.  But so far God hasn't shown me any group that I can go to.

Once in Lubbock, Texas, there was a church group that a man told me about and I had hoped to go to that church group.  But when I called the pastor's office, I received a recorded message telling me the times of their services and the time of their "Communion Service",  when they took crackers & grape juice, which they called The Lord's Supper.

Many years ago, God persuaded me that the Lord's supper does not have anything to do with eating and drinking crackers and grape juice.

The Lord Supper is the Word of God and the eating and drinking of that Word God gives us.

So when I heard the recording from that pastor's office, I knew I could not attend that church group.

Apostate churches are those churches which change doctrines from the New Testament Bible and set up other doctrines opposite to those in New Testament Bible.

Jesus said, "The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery."  (Mt. 5:32)  In 45 years, I've never heard this taught at any church and approval is given for men to marry divorced women as the weddings are performed in the church by the pastors.

This is just one example of antichrist in today's church groups and the apostasy of today's churches.

It is easy to recognize which church groups are apostate, although most church goers go to those churches anyway.

Jesus will destroy the apostate churches along with this world when HE returns to gather the elect of God.

2 Thessalonians 2

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

(In 1982, God said to me:  "The falling away are not people leaving churches ... The falling away are the church groups leaving the scriptures and setting up doctrine opposite to scriptures." )

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

8  And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of HIS mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of HIS coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12   That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

If the church falls away from scripture and sets up doctrine opposite to scripture it is a church of the end time apostasy.

Podcast: Proverbs 27 / Wisdom (Vial # 5 of Great Tribulation)

Vial #5 of The Great Tribulation:

Revelation 16

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Proverbs 27

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

(James 4:13-16  Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.  For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.  But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.

4 Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

7 The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.

8  As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.

9 Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.

10 Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.

11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

12 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

13 Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.

14 He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.

15 A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.

16 Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which bewrayeth itself.

17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

18 Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured.

19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

20 Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.

21 As the fining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.

22 Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.

23 Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.

24 For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

25 The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.

26 The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.

27 And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

Joshua 1:8  This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

πŸ’₯ Proverbs 3:9-10

9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

(Comments by Joan Boney)

To me, this means:  "Every time God shows me something, I share that information with the church."

Nothing of God is left unsaid.

The apostle Paul said this to the elders at Ephesus:

Acts 20

20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

A minister of Jesus has a right to live off the gospel.

I Corinthians 9:13-14  Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

Paul chose to earn his living as a tent maker.

When I began to receive USA Social Security monthly checks, I stopped taking a monthly salary from the ministry.  I found I was able to pay for my personal needs by those Social Security checks.

But I do hold myself accountable to the church to share all the counsel of God.

And I am very careful to share all that I believe to be from God with the church.  And several times the Holy Spirit has shown me that I "tithe" all my salary, not taking a due salary from the ministry.  And God has provided all my need and abundantly above all my need.

Ephesians 3:20  Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

"The power that works in us", is the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things, reminds us of all that Jesus, The Word, has said to us, guides us into all truth, and shows us things to come.  (Jn 14:26 & Jn. 16:13)

The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want.

There is no want or need in my life today because HE shows me what to do and I follow HIM.

Podcast: Searching out the land. Good and evil reports.

I Corinthians 10:11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Numbers 13

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

(God was giving them that land.  See that good which the Lord gives.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.

4-15  And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur. Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori. Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.  Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph. Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun. Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu. Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.  Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi. Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.  Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.  Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.  Of the t
ribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.

16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua. (Joshua)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

17 And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up this way southward , and go up into the mountain:

18 And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;

19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;

20  And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not.

And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land.

Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

21 So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, as men come to Hamath.

22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.

28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Numbers 14

1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

5  Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes:

7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land.

8 If the LORD delight in us, then HE will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey.

9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones.

And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke ME? and how long will it be ere they believe ME, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.

13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for THOU broughtest up this people in THY might from among them;)

14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that THOU LORD art among this people, that THOU LORD art seen face to face, and that THY cloud standeth over them, and that THOU goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.

15 Now if THOU shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of THEE will speak, saying,

16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which HE sware unto them, therefore HE hath slain them in the wilderness.

17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lord be great, according as THOU hast spoken, saying,

18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

19 Pardon, I beseech THEE, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of THY mercy, and as THOU hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

20 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:

21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

PENALTIES:  (forgiveness for sin but yet penalties for sins)

22 Because all those men which have seen MY glory, and MY miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted ME now these ten times, and have not hearkened to MY voice;

23 πŸ’₯  Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked ME see it:

24 But MY servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed ME fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

25 (Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.

26 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against ME? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against ME.

28 πŸ’₯ Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in MINE ears, so will I do to you:

29 Your carcases shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against ME,

30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

31 But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised.

32 But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness.

33  πŸ’₯And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.

34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know MY breach of promise.

35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against ME: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

36  And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,

37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.

38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

39 And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly.

40 And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned.

41 And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper.

42 Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.

44 But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp.

45 Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah.
