(Comments from Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ)

Force - power to influence, affect, or control; efficacious power.

Wrath - strong, stern, or fierce anger; deeply resentful indignation; ire.

Strife - vigorous or bitter conflict, discord, or antagonism.

When we speak to others, we must be careful not to add "fuel to the fire" or "stir the pot" in others making things worse. If our words add to the conflict, we become complicit in forcing the wrath. This only creates more wrath and strife. Often repeating what others have said to us have this same effect. We then become talebearers in the situation. This information we repeat may force wrath.

We are responsible for every word we speak.

We must be aware that our flesh has an agenda to exert influence in any situation. Often it is this fleshly desire that is at the core of our words that influence others. Our words can easily turn others to our way of thinking .... thus forcing the wrath ..... in our favor and against something else. Sometimes it is obvious to us, other times it is more subtle and we question ourselves.

The bottom line is seeking God's will, asking for His wisdom, hearing from Him, and acting on what we have heard from Him ..... not my will but Thy will be done.

Matthew 12:35-37 Jesus says ... A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
