πŸ’₯ Podcast: For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? (I Cor. 4:7)

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 30, 2020)

It is God who created each of us as HE wills.  One differs from another as we fulfill the will of God and our purpose on this present earth.

And we function as one body when we belong to God and have the Spirit of God.

Paul tells us to stay in the place where we are called by God.

Make your calling and election sure.

We are God's workmanship, created by God to do HIS will.

But some fill their lives by trying to copy other people instead of being created by God.  And Jude calls them "mockers".

Jude 17-20  But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;  How that they told you there should be mockers  (imitators) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.  But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith ...

As the body of Christ we have different purposes, different functions in the body.

Know what you are!  Serve in those gifts given you by God.

John 6:28-29  Then said they unto Him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him (the Word) whom He hath sent.

Nehemiah 8:8-11  (The people of Israel had been returned from captivity in Babylon. They had rebuilt the wall surrounding Jerusalem. While they were there, a census was taken. The people were of one accord and requested a reading of the book of the law of Moses.)

8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.

9 And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

11 So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

(Comments from Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ:   Our joy comes as we think and ponder on what God has done for us.
There is a peace also in the security that He loves us because He has performed that which helps us.
We know that He gives us good things for our benefit. It helps us to rest and trust in Him ...... it is our strength.)

πŸ’₯ Revelation 1 (Reading through the Bible)

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto HIM, to shew unto HIS servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John:

(2 Peter 3:8  But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.)

(JB ... shortly come to pass ... ? I think this had to happen first ... It has begun.)

Revelation 1

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne;
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.

Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Behold, HE cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see HIM, and they also which pierced HIM: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of HIM. Even so, Amen.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14   HIS head and HIS hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and HIS eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And HIS feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and HIS voice as the sound of many waters.

16 And HE had in HIS right hand seven stars: and out of HIS mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and HIS countenance was as the sun shineth in HIS strength.

(Great power!)

17 And when I saw HIM, I fell at HIS feet as dead. And HE laid HIS right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

18 I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in MY right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks.

The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.

πŸ’₯ That which is important

Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ

John 1: 1- 4

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.

4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.

The Word that we are given from the Holy Spirit guides us in ALL things pertaining to our life on earth. By following this Word, we have life, the life HE gives us.

This Word illuminates our way to travel through any rough waters and challenges that may be ahead. In this way He lights our way and gives us eternal life.

The Holy Spirit guides me everyday ..... from finding items around the house, making purchases, determining which road to take to a destination, and what to wear. I talk to God all day and He helps me all day.

I know several women who ask me if I need them to give me moral support and encouragement. I reply that I depend on God for this. If they want to be with me to help pass the time, that would be fine. Of course, kind words are always nice to hear but not needed.

If I find myself becoming irritated, I pray.  If I see someone in trouble, I pray.

When I see a deer with horns, I ask God to protect him through hunting season unless the hunting human needs food. We currently have about 40 deer in our yard each evening. Some of our neighbors have commented that we have a "deer farm". We just do not allow hunting by anyone but our family. Our family has not hunted here for about 10 years. It seems that the deer know where they are safe. My husband likes to sit on our porch to watch them in the evening.

Then I see those in the world that do not know HIM ... how they suffer ...... how lost they are ....... how they think they are wise ....... how angry they are ...... and I ask how I was chosen and they weren't .... I am impressed with "My (God's) will be done". I have done nothing to deserve this gift.

Right now my sister is dying of cancer while I have been healed. As I watch her suffer I struggle with this and ask Him to help me through. I do not know if she is born again but I call her and speak that which is in my heart. I love her. She was my best friend for many years. Her tumors are so large that she is forced to buy a larger clothes size and yet, she has no pain. The last time I spoke with her, she said, "You should see me without clothes, I look like the concentration camp prisoners with all of my bones showing and a big stomach." I ask Him to help her and give her HIS spirit. I ask her to turn to HIM. She prays for HIS will to be done and is at peace with her situation.

Being human and dealing with our flesh and emotions is sometimes so difficult. If God wants us to live, we will live and if God wants us to die, we will die. We will be on this earth the time and place that HE appoints.

(Acts 17:26 And (God) hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;)

Death is not the worst thing to happen to us. The worst thing to happen to us is to not be born again, to not know HIM and to be damned to hell.

My heart is so full of love and appreciation that I have been given the amazing gift of the Spirit to give me life .... this life that is the light of men.  Living or dying is irrelevant ... only the Spirit is relevant.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Deuteronomy 28: Blessings of God valid for NT church today

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 6, 2020)

Here are some of the blessings and promises of God that are valid for today's NT church:

Deuteronomy 28

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

And there are many more blessings of God valid from OT for today's church.

*****

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

***

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

***

Joshua 1

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

***

And there are many other OT promises valid today for those who love the Word of God and believe that which God says and lives by those Words in his life on this present earth.

Romans 8:35-39   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For THY sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through HIM that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 5:18-21  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Hebrews 4:9-11 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

πŸ’₯ Jude (Reading through the Bible)

Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ, and called:

Mercy unto you, and peace, and love, be multiplied.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, HE hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

(The way of Cain was to kill his brother to get what he felt he deserved and for revenge.   Balaam wanted what man could give him and went after man for reward. God finally killed him.)

(Core: Korah ... led a rebellion against Moses, saying that Moses "took too much" upon himself and made himself to be too much and didn't fulfill his promise to lead the children of Israel into the promised land.   ... Korah wanted to promote himself to be more than God had assigned him in the religious hierarchy of his time.)

Numbers 16:23-40

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,  Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.  And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of their's, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

(I see same warning for us concerning staying with "wicked" ministers or congregations that approve unrighteous acts.)

So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the Lord hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the Lord hath not sent me.

But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.

And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods.

They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also.

And there came out a fire from the Lord, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

The censers of these sinners against their own souls,
let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the Lord, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar: To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the Lord; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the Lord said to him by the hand of Moses.

*****

Jude 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

(Ministers who entertain the people rather than tell the people of sin that they may repent ... ministers who seek after money ... ministers who seek after reputation among men and greatness in the sight of men.)

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of His saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

(These ministers speak evil against various scripture as they explain away the instruction of those scriptures.)

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.  17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18 How that they told you there should be mockers (copiers, imitators of others) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

(They make themselves ministers without being called by God to the ministry.)

20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

24 Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Prayer

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 10, 2020)

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

*****

(Comments by Joan Boney)

I had a rather serious dental appointment scheduled on November 30, 2020.

I did exactly what it says to do in Philippians 4:6 ... The appointment was scheduled about 2 months earlier.  I knew there was a possibility of a root canal.

Every time during those weeks approaching the appointment when I thought of the appointment, I prayed, asking God for help.  I asked God to help the dentist in the decisions that she made, and that she not do more to me than needed. I asked God to keep me from being hurt.  I even prayed that I not be afraid.

I had asked God to help me to physically get ready for the appointment, to get my hair washed and get shower.  (I'm 83 and this can be difficult.)

On the Saturday before the appointment, all of a sudden I asked Pam if we could go get my hair cut that afternoon.  This is one of those non-appointment shops we go to.  But because of the rise in Coronavirus we had not been for about 3 months.  There was no difficulty at all in getting into the shop.  It was 2 days after the American holiday, Thanksgiving Day.  The hair operator said they had been very busy but that day was "slow".  I was so glad.  I had asked God not to let either Pam or myself get Coronavirus.

The day of the dental appointment, I was easily able to take shower.

It took two hours for dentist to do the work on my tooth.  I felt no pain at all, neither during the procedure nor after.  Dentist said she decided to remove the crown and drill out the decay and not do a root canal.  She said, "Let's try this first."

I thanked God for answering each part of my prayer.

And I was "careful for nothing" because I had prayed according to Philippians 4:6.

It is so important for each of us to live a "carefree" life through God day by day, second by second.

I had even prayed if there was any reason I should cancel that appointment that God would show me.  But no reason manifest itself so I went on to the appointment.

Even after all the dental work was done, there was not one second of pain or discomfort.

"Let your requests be made known unto God."

πŸ’₯ III John (Reading through the Bible)

The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:

Because that for His name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.

We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.10 Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

13 I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:

14 But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Before Jesus returns, the powers of heaven will be shaken by God

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on November 18, 2020)

Dream from God:   The earth slipped on its axis.  People were terrified.  The governments of men and the scientists and religious leaders were meeting to see what could be done about this.  Nothing could be done for this was from God.  A newscaster was giving a report of this on TV.  He was so frightened that he stopped speaking in the middle of his report and got up and walked out of the studio.

The prophet Isaiah spoke of what would happen at the end of time.  Isaiah 13:13  Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of HIS fierce anger.

This is exactly what I saw in the dream God gave me sometime in the mid-1980's.

Jesus also spoke of this in Matthew 24:29-31.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And HE shall send HIS angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together HIS elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

*****

We read, starting in Revelation Chapter 8, of the great tribulation that comes from God at the end of this world.

Notice the 4th plague in the following:

Revelation 8

6 And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;  9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;  11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

With the first 3 plagues, notice how they involved a third part of the earth.  Recently this was called to my attention.  These 3 plagues might happen in different parts of this world.  Until verse 12 happens, it might not even be realized that the great tribulation had begun.

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

When verse 12 happens, everyone, all people of this earth, will know "something" has happened to all this world.

13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

There are 14 total plagues before the end of this world when God destroys this present heaven and earth by fire.  But after the 4th plague when the sun goes dark for 1/3 of the normal day, and the moon and stars fail to shine for 1/3 part of the day, everyone will know the great tribulation from God has begun.

Man fails to repent.

Revelation 9

6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

20  And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Even today, we see ministers who will not repent of those things they speak wrongly, making things up concerning the Bible.  They even admit when confronted that the Bible does not say that which they said, but they have no sorrow for the way they made things up.  And they will not repent over that which they have done.

And their congregations know things are wrong but they stay in their church groups regardless.

2 Thessalonians 2

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

πŸ’₯ Scriptures:

Romans 12:1-2  Paul said ... I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind (to the Word of God), that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Proverbs 23:17-18  Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long.

18 For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.

Nehemiah 8:9-10  And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the Lord your God; mourn not, nor weep.
For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

10. Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7  Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

(Comments from Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ:

Kind - generous, helpful, and caring about other people: having or showing a gentle nature and a desire to help others : wanting and liking to do good things and to bring happiness to others

When we love others we are kind to them.)

πŸ’₯ II John (Reading through the Bible)

The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

And this is love, that we walk after His commandments

This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

(I think this has something to do with thinking you do not have to do the commandments of God today. It is definitely antichrist to fall away from scripture.  II Thessalonians 3-4)

Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

12 Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

13 The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

πŸ’₯ Podcast: Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Rom. 15:13)

(This podcast was previously recorded and published on December 7, 2020)

When we believe the Word of God we are filled with joy and peace and hope.

There are thousands upon thousands of great promises of God for us in the Bible.

2 Peter 1:4

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When the Holy Spirit of God reminds us of one of these promises of God in the situation of this present life, we can focus on that promise and live above the troubles of this world because we know the God who created this world is far greater than this world.  We hope in God!

The church is built upon that Word which God reveals to us in the problems of this life.  We stand upon "that word", the word that comes to us from God by HIS Spirit.  Therein is power.

*****

We have great joy and peace and hope for we believe Jesus will return and gather the church.  Jesus will raise the dead in Christ and Jesus will remove those who are still living who are of God from this present earth.

How do we know these things?

The Bible tells us this.

I Thessalonians 4

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent (precede) them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

***

We will all be changed into our new spiritual bodies:

I Corinthians 15   The apostle Paul says:

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep (die), but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

***

Then we will be taken to the new heaven and the new earth which is prepared by God for all who are righteous.

Revelation 21  The apostle John says:

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

***

There will be no unrighteous in that new heaven and new earth, the new Jerusalem.

Revelation 22  Jesus says:

12  And, behold, I come quickly; and MY reward is with ME, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do HIS commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

***

In the end, God will destroy this present heaven and earth by fire.

II Peter 3

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

***

And this present heaven and earth will not even come to mind.

Isaiah 65  God says:

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in MY people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
