Pam Padgett ... teacher
I have been taking my younger dog, Gus, to a class to prepare for him to take a test which is required before he can go through the evaluation process to be a therapy dog. There are several parts in the test, and he must pass all parts.
For one part of the test I need to give the leash to someone else and walk away, out of the dog's sight, for 3 minutes. The trainer suggested telling the dog to "wait" before walking away. The dog needs to stay calm during this time.
Surprisingly, this has been a very hard thing for Gus to do. When I was out of his sight, he would become anxious, sometimes whining and even pulling on the leash trying to go find me. We had been working on this for several weeks, first with me staying gone for only a few seconds and gradually increasing the time. Sometimes he would get through the 3 minutes, but just barely. I could tell this was very hard for him.
Then about a week ago I remembered to pray and ask for wisdom in how to help Gus with this. A concept was given to me that he needed a new command. The "wait" command is already being used for exercises in which Gus can see me. A new command was needed. What was very easy for me to do was to shake my index finger at him and say "I'll be right back".
I started working with Gus right away by putting him in the bedroom, giving the new command, and walking out of the room. At first I stayed right outside the door where I could quickly hear if he whined or see if he came looking for me. Amazingly, he picked up on what the new command
meant very quickly. Before long he would calmly sit or lie down after I
gave the new command until I returned to the room.
A few days later I took Gus to the PetsMart store. The trainer was there. Knowing how hard it had been for Gus to be left when he couldn't see me, she asked if we'd
like to practice this. I handed the leash to the trainer, gave Gus the
new command, and walked away for the 3 minutes. When I returned the
trainer said he had done extremely well, better than ever before.
Each time we practice this, I am so thankful to God for giving me the
wisdom needed to work through this.

II Kings 4 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the Lord:and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. 3 Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a few. 4 And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out. 6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed. 7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest.
(As the way was made by God for the oil to not run out and there be oil to pay the debt, I thought of the way that was made by God for water to come out of the rock in the wilderness. God will make a way to sustain HIS people even if HE has to turn rocks from the yard into gold.)
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. 9 And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. 10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick:and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there. 12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him. 13 And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host?
And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old. 15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. 16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid. 17 And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season that Elisha had said unto her, according to the time of life.
18 And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers. 19 And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother. 20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door upon him, and went out. 22 And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
23 And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath.
And she said, It shall be well.
24 Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not thy riding for me, except I bid thee. 25 So she went and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:26 Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.
27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet:but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her:and the Lord hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. 28 Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me? 29 Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand, and go thy way:if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again:and lay my staff upon the face of the child. 30 And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her. 31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
33 He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto the Lord.
34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands:and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
35 Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him:and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son. 37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal:and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him:and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets. 39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage:for they knew them not. 40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
41 But he (Elisha) said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat. 43 And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat:for thus saith the Lord, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof. 44 So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the Lord.
2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? I Timothy 5 ... Reading through the Bible
3 Honour widows that are widows indeed. 4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.
5 Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day. 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. 7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.
8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, 10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
11 But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; 12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. 13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 14 I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. 15 For some are already turned aside after Satan.
16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.
17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
22 Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities.
24 Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. 25 Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.
Psalm 98:1
1 O sing unto the Lord a new song;
for HE hath done marvellous things:
==========
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We, who are born again of HIS spirit, are continually singing a "new song" as scripture after scripture is revealed to us and we are changed over and over into the image of that scripture by doing that scripture. It is a new song we "sing" as we conform our actions according to that scripture.
And we think upon the marvellous things God has done ... revealing HIMSELF to us ... taking us out of our old worldly lives ... giving us hope in HIM, in HIS word ... making us into new creations in HIM through that word HE gives us ... transforming us into the image of the Word, Christ.
Daily we are recreated again into the image of God as we hear HIS word and think on that Word, doing that way on this present earth.
Romans 12 ... 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Dig daily for THAT WORD as you would search for hidden treasure ... And when you find THAT WORD treat it as great treasure for it as our life for today, which it truly is.
Prov. 3 ... 13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver,
and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies:
and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

Adornment for godly women

1Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
Many women have great pride in the fleshly beauty they have attained through makeup, hair fashions, jewelry, and clothes. Focusing on the flesh and exalting the flesh, they seek to draw attention to themselves by their outward appearance.
But we're taught another way ... modest (decent and proper) apparel , shamefacedness (not proudly exalting the flesh, but humbling ourselves before the Word of God), soberness.
We deal with our outward appearance, but in decent and proper ways before God.
Rather than consuming ourselves with outward beauty, our desire is to be continually renewed within (our inward man) by focusing on and doing the Word of God. We want to exalt God and His Word, not the flesh, in our lives and to bring forth that which is good in the sight of God.
We seek praise from God, not from man.
Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

II Kings 3 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1 Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned twelve years. 2 And he wrought evil in the sight of the Lord; but not like his father, and like his mother:for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made. 3 Nevertheless he cleaved unto the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not therefrom.
4 And Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster, and rendered unto the king of Israel an hundred thousand lambs, and an hundred thousand rams, with the wool. 5 But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.
6 And king Jehoram went out of Samaria the same time, and numbered all Israel. 7 And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab hath rebelled against me:wilt thou go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up:I am as thou art, my people as thy people, and my horses as thy horses. 8 And he said, Which way shall we go up? And he answered, The way through the wilderness of Edom.
9 So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom:and they fetched a compass of seven days 'journey:and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them. 10 And the king of Israel said, Alas! that the Lord hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab!
11 But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the Lord, that we may enquire of the Lord by him? And one of the king of Israel's servants answered and said, Here is Elisha the son of Shaphat, which poured water on the hands of Elijah. 12 And Jehoshaphat said, The word of the Lord is with him. So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.
13 And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay:for the Lord hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab. 14 And Elisha said, As the Lord of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, surely, were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, I would not look toward thee, nor see thee. 15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. 16 And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. 17 For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. 18 And this is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord:he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. 19 And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones. 20 And it came to pass in the morning, when the meat offering was offered, that, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.
21 And when all the Moabites heard that the kings were come up to fight against them, they gathered all that were able to put on armour, and upward, and stood in the border. 22 And they rose up early in the morning, and the sun shone upon the water, and the Moabites saw the water on the other side as red as blood:23 And they said, This is blood:the kings are surely slain, and they have smitten one another:now therefore, Moab, to the spoil.
24 And when they came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and smote the Moabites, so that they fled before them:but they went forward smiting the Moabites, even in their country. 25 And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees:only in Kirharaseth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.
26 And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom:but they could not. 27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel:and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
4 And Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster, and rendered unto the king of Israel an hundred thousand lambs, and an hundred thousand rams, with the wool. 5 But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

I Timothy 4 ... Reading through the Bible
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy;
having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 11 These things command and teach.
12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
Warning about being puffed up
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Sometimes when a person offends us, we allow ourselves to be puffed up. So next time we see that person we "bristle", thinking of how they offended us and not wanting to approve them, not wanting to feel kindly toward them.
The following two scriptures offset this offense and show us what God want us to do.
I Tim. 1 ... 5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
Romans 12 ... 17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Since you do not have to repay, you can treat that person kindly.
I saw this one day when Notre Dame was playing football. I was very much against them because they are Catholic and knowing many evils of the Catholic church I was harsh in my heart toward this school and their football team.
It was as if God said to me, "You don't have to hold these grudges and hate them for I will settle with the Catholic Church regardless of what you do toward them ... so free yourself."
Thus we do not have to be overcome by their evil but we overcome with a good spirit.
A few months ago, I was going to trash at the same time my neighbor was backing her car out of her garage in alley. We were a few feet from each other. I stopped and greeted her in very friendly way. She had another spirit toward me. I did not realize I had offended her. I just stood there to speak with her and she finally lowered her window and I greeted her with open friendliness. She said, "I want to talk with you." I replied, "I'd like that." (still not realizing she was offended with me) She said she would come over that night. I prepared some treats but she didn't show up.
Then it was as if the Spirit of God showed me what was happening. She was not friendly toward me but wanted to come over to rebuke me.
It was over her adult aged daughter who is lesbian. I had spoken against lesbians and this mother had taken offense.
Fortunately I didn't realize I had offended this woman so I was acting in genuine kindness toward her while she bore grudge against me.
These scriptures show us we are to be kind even when we do know they are offended.
God will repay. We don't have to repay and we shouldn't repay.

II Kings 2 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. 2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.
5 And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
6 And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the Lord hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on. 7 And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off:and they two stood by Jordan. 8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing:nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more:and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. 13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither:and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
(Some will read this thinking that all prophets perform these miracles as Elijah performed. But Elisah didn't perform such until a special gift was given him doubling what Elijah had done. Mostly prophets hear and deliver words from the Spirit of God to warn and instruct the people. NT prophet: Agabus ... Acts 11:28 & Acts 21:10)

16 And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master:lest peradventure the Spirit of the Lord hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. 17 And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. 18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
19 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth:but the water is naught, and the ground barren. 20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. 21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. 22 So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake.
23 And he went up from thence unto Bethel:and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.
25 And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria.

I Timothy 3 ... Reading through the Bible
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.
11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly: 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
God is our hope ... Jesus, THE WORD, is our hope
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
I Tim. 1 ... 1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;
Jesus came in the flesh, appearing as a man though by HIM all things were created. And in the form of a man, Jesus died and was raised by God from the dead that we who believe in HIM might be saved by HIM, by The Word.
HE, The Word, is our hope.
And throughout our life on this earth we read the Bible and see The Word and that Word is our hope.
Our works are not our hope. The Word that authors our works is our hope.
There is a very important difference between believing in The Word and acting because of that Word and doing works because we consider it to be a good thing to do. In one, we are trusting in The Word and in the other people are trusting in their own works.
Jesus explained it as follows:
Mt. 7 ... 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
For example: God gave me a word in the night as I slept. That word was call letters to a radio station, "KWJS". I asked God, "Are you wanting me to go on radio?"
Some people decide to go on radio without having the will of God confirmed to them by God.
This is the difference between doing a "good work" by your own thinking and doing the will of God for your life. That is what Jesus is speaking of in Matthew 7.
In 2013, God gave me a dream showing me to do a blog, exhorting the church through this blog. I did this because it was what God wanted me to do. It was authored by God, not by myself.
A vast number of men and women decided to do things "for the gospel" without hearing to do them. It is their own plan to do such things. In this case, their works will be works of iniquity as Jesus states in Mt. 7 ...
The work must be authored by God and not by ourselves.
Look again at what Jesus says ... Mt.
So our hope is not in what we did but our hope is in what HE told us to do, in HIS Word to us.
To those "ministers" who do their own works, Jesus says ...
Mt. 23 ... 14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows 'houses, and for a pretence make long prayer:therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Concerning the end times ... Mt. 24 ... And as HE (Jesus) sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I (Jesus) am Christ; and shall deceive many.
This will be antichrist in the churches through ministers and through others who profess doctrines opposite to the doctrines of Christ ... and many will be deceived because these preachers will come saying "Jesus is Lord", but they will preach things that are perverse, incorrect, adding to the word of God and taking away from the word of God, especially things to please people that there be no real repentance in the church groups.
Jesus said: whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. Mt. 5:32
When did you last hear this preached? or have they set up another gospel at your church, a gospel to approve men and to permit sin inside the church.
This is the antichrist in the churches ... a spirit in man preaching the opposite (anti) from the Word, from Christ ... thus "anti-christ"

II Kings 1 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1 Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab. 2 And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick:and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?
4 Now therefore thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die. And Elijah departed.
5 And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back? 6 And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words? 8 And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him:and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down. 10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly. 12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight. 14 Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties:therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight. 15 And the angel of the Lord said unto Elijah, Go down with him:be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king. 16 And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
17 So he died according to the word of the Lord which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.
18 Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
I Timothy 2 ... Reading through the Bible
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
New creature in Christ ... all things BECOME new
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We grow into the image of Christ, The Word, by deliberately dressing ourselves in The Word of God.
Thus all things about us "become" new during the years we live on this earth and make choices to live in specific scripture.
For example: Jesus said: 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow:for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Mt. 6
We see this Word. We determine that this is what we will do. We replace what we had been doing with doing this instruction. We put away the old man and put on the new man by doing this instruction. We cast off our old garment, the natural man/the fleshly garment, and we put on the new garment, created in the image of God and Christ, The Word.
Therefore we "become" new ... growing into that which is new, as we put aside the old.
Now instead of planning ahead for our success, we seek the word of God daily as one seeks for great treasure. We hunt those scriptures daily. We dress in what we find, going that way, daily. Things become new by our deliberately going another way.
Then we decide we will also dress in what Jesus said: Take no thought of the morrow ... We refuse thoughts concerning tomorrow. When those thoughts come we return to the instruction of Jesus concerning taking no thought of tomorrow. Instead today we seek what God would say to us as we pray and read Bible and think on the word of God. We focus on today and "HIS righteousness", on that which is right in the sight of God. We meditate on that scripture that we have found today as we "seek HIM" by reading Bible or by hearing a word from the Holy Spirit and focusing on that word.
This transforms us from the way the world goes and sets us into the way of God.
II Cor. 5 ... 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This is not a one time experience but is a continual "becoming new" as long as we live on this earth.
Every time we see a scripture and "dress ourselves" in that scripture by doing what that scripture says to do, we cast off our old garment (our old way of life) and we put on Christ, The Word, dressing in the Word by doing the Word.
become means: to change, to grow into
Thus I keep certain scripture before me day after day and think on that instruction and turn my way toward that instruction, purposefully doing that instruction instead of doing what my own flesh would prefer doing ... casting aside the old garment to put on the new garment ... made in the image of Christ, The Word.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Man has a soul. Man can make choices. Plants can't do that. Animals and fish can't seek the will of God. But man can. Man can be changed into the image of God by choosing to do the will of God, by choosing to do the Word of God.
Jesus gave the following example of the man who came to the wedding without dressing in a wedding garment.
Mt. 22 ... 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding:and they would not come.
4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner:my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready:come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth:and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good:and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
The wedding garment in the Kingdom of God is the Word of God. We must dress ourselves in The Word of God ... casting aside the old nature of man and putting on the new man created in the image of God by the Word of God.
In Eph. 6, Paul said: Put on the whole armor of God ... again this has to do with dressing ourselves in the Word of God, in prayer, in truth from God, in God's righteousness by seeking God's way for our lives, in faith, ...
Thus Paul speaks of being clothed "in our new house / our heavenly house" ...
II Cor. 5 ... 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
We seek God's will daily by prayer and by hunting scripture and putting on scripture.
Romans 13 ... 11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand:let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ (THE WORD), and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
