1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them:otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:4 That thine alms may be in secret:and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are:for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do:for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them:for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye:Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance:for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; 18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret:and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
22 The light of the body is the eye:if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters:for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air:for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
(Can you add an inch to your height by thinking about it?)
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow:for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of
them:otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 2
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before
thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that
they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their
reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy
right hand doeth:4 That thine alms may be in secret:and thy Father which
seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
I am horrified when I see the world flaunting their works before men. They love to tell how much money they have given to such & such work.
There is a very wealthy Catholic woman who loved to tell me her mother had just given a building to a university and they had named the building after her family ... and how her family had given a scholarship for student at one of the schools ... and many other works done by herself and her mother.
If we have really done such, and go by the scriptures, no one would ever know we'd done this unless God had us use it as teaching example.
==========
At a place where I lived in another city, the people across the street from me did home schooling. They also claimed to be Christian.
One day I looked out my window and was horrified to see a group in front of their house, holding hands, standing in a big circle, and praying.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites
are:for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners
of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you,
They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy
closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in
secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Often in football games and other events, an athlete will show himself to be praying on the field after he makes a good play.
I hate seeing this.
And TV announcers often mention "our prayers are with him" ... whatever that might mean... Our prayers are to God not with another person ... and do our prayers mean anything to God?... if we really belong to God, they do. But these TV announcers are a very questionable thing ... hard to hear these things ... I just cry out to God in agony when I hear such things, for it seems to me this reference to prayer makes sacred things profane.

If we live in the world, we usually feel we have to live like the world.
A woman from the little village where I lived as a child sent a card telling me she was setting up a dinner at a local cafe for our high school classes' 60th reunion. On the card, she asked what we thought about this. (it was a form letter type card) I did not respond since there is no way I would be involved in this, having no interest at all in meeting with people to discuss past. Then this woman called me when I didn't respond. I told her I would not be attending this dinner therefore I didn't respond for I felt those attending should be the ones to respond.
The dinner was about 100 miles away from where I lived. The day of the dinner, we had very severe storms with rain, lightning, thunder, hail. As I sat peacefully at my house, I was so glad not to be trying to go to that dinner.
Had I gone to that dinner, I would have needed to buy clothes to wear which I did not want to buy nor wear.
I would have needed to rent a car for I wouldn't want to get out on road with my 21 year old car.
And I didn't want to go anyway. When I was in high school, all I wanted to do was get out of high school and leave. (No one was mean to me. I just didn't find it interesting.)
And it would have taken me away from the work assigned to me by God which is writing on the blog and exhorting the church in ways of God.
When the woman called me about this dinner, she asked what I'd been doing. I told her we have a blog and I have been writing exhortations for the church. She was completely silent, wanting to hear no more about this subject. Once I sent her some writings and she wrote and asked me not to send any more writings to her. She is a Methodist. (I did have a dream about her and she was holding a Bible but in real life she doesn't want to hear scripture nor things of God. She wants to hear what people are doing.)
Concerning obtaining "raiment" (clothing): My cleaning woman (a Catholic) asked me if I didn't feel I needed to keep up with other people in things like clothing and cars. She said she felt she should keep up with other people. I was a little shocked. I told her I never feel like I need to do this. There is no one on this earth that I'd rather be than me
I'm very thankful to God for HIS putting me where I live and for HIS having me do what I do.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Since I was born again in 1975, I have really tried to find out what God wants me to do and do it ... Almost as soon as I was born again I saw the way to success (prosperity) was to seek the word of God on the matter at hand and to do the word of God. So that has been my goal.
And without thinking about things at all, things just came to me. I didn't try to get a house to live in. I don't try to get money yet it comes to me and I have plenty. I just try to find out what God wants me to do and do that. (We find out what God wants by prayer, Bible reading, and paying attention to those things brought to mind by the Holy Spirit.)
Psalm 1
1 Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Joshua 1
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
As a new Christian in 1975, I saw these 2 scriptures and I believed them and set about to do this knowing it was the way to prosper. (And it is!)

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow:for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
I hardly ever think of tomorrow any more. If we deal with today, I find it sufficient.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
There are many unexpected things ... but when we turn to God with the issue and do what we believe HE shows us, it always works out. None of us want to deal with these daily problems and we might even resent having that problem, but if we didn't have a problem would we ever turn to God?
And I find working through each problem by prayer and trying to find out how God wants me to handle the problem causes me to be conformed to HIS image as I try to follow HIM.

Psalm 115 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church
1 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
2 Wherefore should the heathen say,
Where is now their God?
3 But our God is in the heavens:
he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
4 Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of men's hands.
5 They have mouths, but they speak not:
eyes have they, but they see not:
6 They have ears, but they hear not:
noses have they, but they smell not:
7 They have hands, but they handle not:
feet have they, but they walk not:neither speak they through their throat.
8 They that make them are like unto them;
so is every one that trusteth in them.
9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord:
he is their help and their shield.
10 O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord:
he is their help and their shield.
11 Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord:
he is their help and their shield.
12 The Lord hath been mindful of us:
he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron.
13 He will bless them that fear the Lord,
both small and great.
14 The Lord shall increase you more and more,
you and your children.
15 Ye are blessed of the Lord
which made heaven and earth.
16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord 's:
but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
17 The dead praise not the Lord,
neither any that go down into silence.
18 But we will bless the Lord
from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord.

3 But our God is in the heavens:
he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
God creates some to salvation and other to destruction, says Paul. Romans 9
God is God and does as HE pleases.
Pharaoh was created for purpose of destruction while Paul was created to salvation.
Concerning Paul ... Acts 9 ... 1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, 2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. 3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus:and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. 8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man:but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.
10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus:for, behold, he prayeth, 12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.
13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way:for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. 19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. 20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. 21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? 22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
Concerning Pharaoh being formed to destruction ... Many humans cannot stand this concept but this is what the Bible teaches.
Romans 9 ... 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children:but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God:but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
(God created Pharaoh for the purpose of being destroyed ... )
18 Therefore hath HE mercy on whom HE will have mercy, and whom HE will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

Who is our God?
Our God is the creator of heaven and earth. Our God is the God of Abraham. Our God is the Father of our LORD, Jesus Christ.
Did Jesus Christ really rise from the dead? We who believe in the God of Abraham believe Jesus Christ was raised by God from the dead.
The people who have other gods do not believe Jesus Christ was raised from the dead. But their gods have no power to raise from the dead so it is little wonder they do not believe Jesus could be raised from the dead.
But our God can and did raise Jesus Christ from the dead and HE will raise all from the dead, some to salvation and others to eternal damnation. That is the power of our God who made heavens and earth and all that is therein, the God of Abraham and Jesus Christ.

Mt. 16 ... 13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist:some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona:for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
God revealed to Peter that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. No flesh, no man revealed this to Peter. God HIMSELF revealed this to Peter. That is exactly the same as it is with us today. God put it into our hearts to believe HIS WORD, to believe on Jesus Christ, HIS WORD.
And the church is built on the rock of that word God reveals ... and the gates of hell cannot stand against that word God gives us on the subject at hand.

There is a give away connected to golf ... if you register with a loan company and a PGA golfer makes a hole in one and they draw your name, you get a year of mortgage payments. "Imagine that," I thought. A year of mortgage payments on your house! Then I realized ... I don't have a mortgage. I've never had a mortgage. God just saw to it that the houses I have lived in were all paid for before the construction started!
Something came on TV about a man getting over a million-dollars. I thought about how great that would be. Then I remembered that I have plenty of money and I don't want to leave my house and certainly would not want to go out of town. I don't want clothing or cars and certainly not jewelry. I have everything I want. There is no lack of any kind. What would I want more money for? But our flesh can get all caught up for a few minutes until we come back to our senses!

9 O Israel, trust thou in the Lord:
he is their help and their shield.
We have a magnificent shield when we choose to live by Bible. For example: Bible in NT shows men the only reason to divorce wife is if she is unfaithful. So if she doesn't cook to suit you or look to suit you or suit you, that is no reason to divorce her. It is very simple. Has she been sexually faithful? If so, it is over. Nothing else to consider.
In Bible, woman was not granted "right" to divorce. So there was no question of divorcing husband. If you live that way, you just do not divorce husband. You might choose to leave him and remain unmarried, but you do not divorce. Nothing else to consider ... It makes it very simple.
I Cor. 7 ... 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:and let not the husband put away his wife.
It is sort of like going through the Red Sea. The wall of water was on right hand. The wall of water was on left hand. The Egyptians were behind them pursuing them ... so there was only one way to go. Simple.
The people of this world wrestle with all manner of considerations on this matter. But we, of God, do not. It is made simple for us when we live according to Bible.
HE is our shield ... we are shielded by living by Bible.
And we are continually helped by God as we try to do HIS will and live by HIS word.
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

4 Their idols are silver and gold,
the work of men's hands.

Exodus 13 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1
And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Sanctify unto me all the
firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel,
both of man and of beast:it is mine.
3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place:there shall no leavened bread be eaten. 4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.
5 And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month. 6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord. 7 Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.
(NT church ... our "unleavened bread" is the pure word of God ... no additives from the flesh of man.)
8 And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt. 9 And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord 's law may be in thy mouth:for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt. 10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.
1 And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee, 12 That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord' s. 13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck:and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
14 And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the Lord slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast:therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.
16 And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes:for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt.
(NT church ... and by strength of HIS hand God caused us to be born again and changed from the world where we once lived.)
17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea:and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
(God fixed it for them so there was no way for them to go but forward... they could not go back.)
19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him:for he (Joseph) had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. 21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Living by rule of Bible or living by rule of the world?
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In most of the world a woman can go to court and divorce her husband.
In the Bible there is no such possibility. In both OT and NT, women did not have "right" to divorce. A woman could leave her husband but there was no such thing as a woman divorcing her husband according to law of Bible.
Which way do you want to live today? By Bible or by world?
When you make decisions for your life, do you consider Bible ... Is this approved by Bible?
In our little church group, a man mentioned that he had filed divorce suit against his wife. He had gone to lawyer and done this. The minute I heard of this, I asked him this question: "Was your wife unfaithful?"
He replied that his wife had never been unfaithful to him.
In New Testament the only grounds for a man to divorce his wife that I know of is her being sexually unfaithful to him.
After hearing this, this man dropped all worldly legal proceedings against his wife and stopped the worldly divorce.
We have to consider what we are doing on this earth. Is what we are doing right in the sight of God? You might do something approved in the worldly courts of law and not be doing that which is approved by God with examples in NT.
There was no "right to divorce" for women in OT or NT. A woman could not divorce her husband. But she could leave her husband. However she could not remarry after leaving her husband.
Paul says the following is a "commandment" of the Lord for the NT church.
I Cor. 7 ... 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:and let not the husband put away his wife.
The rules of this world change based on the various times of life, generations of man ... But the rules set up for us by God, showing us in the Bible do not change. And we see no example at all in NT of a woman being able to file divorce and "put away her husband."
So we of the church, need to choose to go by that ... by rules set forth in Bible. The world can do what it wants to do. We need to do what was shown the church by the Bible and the apostles of the Bible. This is our rule.
It does not matter what the world says. What does the Bible say, should be our measure for our lives.
This is true in all things.
In 1985, I moved to a small town where my mother and other relatives lived. Two women were going out to decorate graves on the worldly holiday the USA calls, "Memorial Day." These women were Baptist. (both are dead now) I was horrified to think a Christian was going to be doing a pagan act such as visiting graves and decorating graves. Of course, I told them this. One of the women, said it just made her feel better.
Why would you do such as thing? What are you saying by decorating graves? What is your testimony concerning God when you do this? These are questions we should consider.
What does God have to say about that which we are about to do?
This should be our consideration.
Isaiah 65 ... 2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people,
which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
3 A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
4 Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments,
The people who die are asleep. When the Lord comes, those who belong to HIM will be awakened and rise to meet Jesus in the air. In the meantime, they sleep. They don't know what you are doing so certainly it doesn't benefit them for you to visit the place occupied by their dead bodies. And how does it benefit you as a Christian. Focus instead on the resurrection of the dead in Christ.
I Thess. 4 ... Paul says ... 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
We should think about those things we are doing on this earth and how that fits into Bible.

What salt does in Matthew 4
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In Mt. 4, Jesus said: 13 Ye are the salt of the earth:but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world.
Salt brings out the flavor of the food. Without salt, food is rather tasteless.
When we speak scripture by the Spirit of God, the flavor of that scripture comes forth.
For example ... In Mt. 5:32, Jesus explained to the people the following: 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Jesus brought in a new concept concerning the subject of divorce. Jesus showed what would happen when a man divorced a woman.
If the woman was faithful, that man would cause her to commit adultery if he divorced her for if she remarried it she would commit adultery ... but the husband who divorced her would be held responsible for the cause of her adultery because he divorced a faithful wife.
And the man who married the divorced woman would also commit adultery.
This is strong salt!
When we speak truth of the scriptures, we are that salt that brings out the real flavor of the scripture and creates life.

And in NT church, a man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, according to Jesus. Mt. 5:32
This is true salt that brings out the meaning of what Jesus said in Mt. 5:32.
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Pam Padgett had also been considering salt from words in Mt. 5 ... and she told me salt preserves the food.
Certainly much of the salt has been removed from scripture by the various church groups as they seek to please man and have big numbers of people come to their gathering. It is interesting for by those big numbers of people they also end up troubling themselves.
At one point, I attended a secular dinner. One of the men seated at my table, beside me, was wearing around his neck the largest cross I have ever seen. (If a person really understood what the cross means I doubt he would want to hang one around his own neck.)
This man said he was retired pastor from Indiana Baptist Church. He said they had such a problem at his church. There were so many people they kept having trouble seating everyone. He kept on about this for a few minutes.
Then I spoke up and said to him, "If you would teach what Jesus said, that the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, then about 1/2 of the people would leave you and you wouldn't have any more trouble seating them." Dead silence followed from him.

Matthew 5 ... Reading through the Bible
1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain:and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit:for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn:for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek:for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:for they shall be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful:for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart:for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers:for they shall be called the children of God.
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness 'sake:for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad:for great is your reward in heaven:for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
13 Ye are the salt of the earth:but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets:I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (NASB: You good for nothing), shall be in danger of the council:but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee:for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee:for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
(If a man divorces a faithful wife and that wife remarries, she will commit adultery and he will be the cause of her adultery because he divorced a wife who is faithful. And the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery, says Jesus in Mt. 5:32)

Matthew 5
33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool:neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay:for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil:but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Psalm 114 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church
1 When Israel went out of Egypt,
the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2 Judah was his sanctuary,
and Israel his dominion.
3 The sea saw it, and fled:
Jordan was driven back.
4 The mountains skipped like rams,
and the little hills like lambs.
5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest?
thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams;
and ye little hills, like lambs?
7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord,
at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8 Which turned the rock into a standing water,
the flint into a fountain of waters.

1 When Israel went out of Egypt,
the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
To me, the people of this world speak in "a strange language" ... a language I can't understand ...
Often when watching TV, I just turn the sound off and watch the picture ... sometimes I will play a CD and watch the picture ...
And sometime the things they say are so opposite to truth and God that I can't stand it and I mute the sound until they stop talking on TV.
As the people of Egypt speak a strange language in the ears of the children of Israel, the people of this world speak a strange language in our ears ... for the ways of the world are so different from the ways God has taught us, HIS people.

There is a woman of a strange language who is very religious in her church group but she is not born again. She kept calling me every week or so wanting me to go to lunch with her. I often went with her. God gave me the following word to describe this woman: "self-righteous"
She thought herself to be a good person. She thought many others to be foolish. She was often scornful (mocking people, thinking herself right and them wrong) as she told how someone had done something and she set them straight, but all in her flesh not in the Spirit of God for she does not have the Spirit of God.
The last two or three times I went to eat with her, it became more and more difficult for me to hear what she said. The last time I went to eat with her, I was so grieved over her that I had to go to my bed and do nothing at all but call out to God for deliverance from this woman. The following morning I awoke with a message for this woman which I delivered by email: "The time will come when you will see the way you have been going is totally wrong ... and you will be very
ashamed." (I also sent Psalm 37 as the right way.)
After she read that email, she called me immediately and said: "I don't understand that message."
I told her only God could give her understanding.
After that, this woman stopped calling me to see if I would go to lunch with her.
It was God's deliverance to me from this woman who spoke a strange language.

We who belong to God, having HIS Spirit, have a very small concept of the righteousness of God.
Moses was in the mountain with God for 40 days ... The righteousness of God was so strong it made Moses face glow so that the people couldn't stand looking at Moses. Moses had to put a vail over his face for the people to stand him.
If something is terrible to us, who understand little, think how that sin is to God who deals in total righteousness.

Exodus 12 ... Viewing the works of God through scripture
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months:it shall
be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year:ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month:and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it. 8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. 10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste:it is the Lord 's passover.
(Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.)
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment:
I am the Lord.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are:and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. 15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses:for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
(The leaven is the false doctrine which is given in imitation of Christ and those who partake of this false doctrine are cut off from the real people of God.)
16 And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. 17 And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt:therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. 19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses:for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. 20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.
21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover. 22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.
23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.
25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the Lord will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the Lord' s passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.
And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
28 And the children of Israel went away, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
(They believed God in this and obeyed God in this but later they were destroyed by God in the wilderness because their hearts turned from God. )
Jude 1:5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
29 And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.
31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said. 32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.
34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders.
35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment:36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.
37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand (600,000 men) on foot that were men, beside children.
38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.
39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, who dwelt in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years.
41 And it came to pass at the end of the four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
42 It is a night to be much observed unto the Lord for bringing them out from the land of Egypt:this is that night of the Lord to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.
43 And the Lord said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover:There shall no stranger eat thereof:44 But every man's servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. 45 A foreigner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof. 46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land:for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they.
51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the Lord did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

The call of God
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
In Matthew 4, we read:
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea:for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. 20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. 22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
The call of God is not a matter of wanting to do something good for humanity.
The call of God has to do with hearing from God and following HIM. It is not a matter of following your desire as many do.
And in the above example, after Jesus spoke to them and told them to follow him, they left everything immediately. Nothing of their past activities matter any more.
Lk 9:60 ... 59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead:but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house. 62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
When we really hear from God, nothing else matters.

Letting other gods creep into your thinking
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
The world brings their various gods to us and if we aren't careful their gods can get to be a part of our thinking without our knowing such.
Last night, I mentioned to Pam Padgett that it had rained 24 straight days in Fort Worth, TX. where they were having golf tournament this weekend.
Pam replied: "It is an el nino year ..." Then she said, "I don't know what that means."
(I know Pam knows rain is from God. But the world (weathermen on TV) want to explain the weather and leave God out.)
Certainly God could use warm currents in ocean to make weather effects just as God created a wind to bring quail upon the children of Israel in wilderness when they complained about not having meat.
Numbers 11:31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
The way the people of the world would likely view this is "the wind" caused the quail to come into the camp. They would not want to see God behind the wind as the cause of the wind.
Other weather events caused by God ...
Exodus 14:21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
Exodus 10:13 And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.
The world would say the strong east wind caused the sea to go back and the east wind brought the locust. Again the world would want to leave God out. That is exactly what the weather men do when they report el nino as being the cause for the weather.
Concerning the weather called "el nino", according to Wickipedia (Internet encyclopedia), this name came from Catholic church who noticed warmer water currents in ocean around Christmas.
We, of course, know the weather is caused by God though man has gotten skilled at reading signs even though man often cannot see God behind the signs.
But we do not want to have in our heart worldly sayings which come from our mouth without giving due credit to God and making other people think these worldly gods have caused something which God causes.
Their gods can creep in without our realizing it.

Matthew 4 ... Reading through the Bible
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down:for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan:for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; 13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, 15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; 16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

Psalm 113 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church
1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord.
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and for evermore.
3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same
the Lord 's name is to be praised.
4 The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like unto the Lord our God,
who dwelleth on high,
6 Who humbleth himself to behold
the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,
and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8 That he may set him with princes,
even with the princes of his people.
9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house,
and to be a joyful mother of children.
Praise ye the Lord.

1 And the
Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and
upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence:when he shall let you
go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. 3 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians.
Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
4 And Moses said, Thus saith the Lord, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast:that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee:and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
9 And the Lord said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh:and the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Matthew 3 ... Reading through the Bible
1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, 2 And saying, Repent ye:for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Isaiah 40:3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Matthew 3
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan, 6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? 8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance:but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear:he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. 14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now:for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water:and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Water baptism is identification with being buried with Christ and raised from the dead by God.
Romans 6 ...
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once:but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you:for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
When I was baptized in water the second time, after I was born again, the minister lowered me into the water and the Holy Spirit said to me: "This is like being buried with Christ."
When I came out of the water the Holy Spirit said to me: "This is like being raised with Christ."
This is exactly what Romans 6 teaches us.

Psalm 112... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church
1 Praise ye the Lord.
Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
(The fear of the Lord is basically an understanding that if I do what God says to do it will go well with me ... but if I rebel against what God says to do I will not live as well as I might have lived.)
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth:
the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house:
and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:
HE is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever:
the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings:
his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid,
until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor;
his righteousness endureth for ever;
his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;
he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away:
the desire of the wicked shall perish.

I had problem the same day with two different people ... one was a woman in our church group and the other was a woman who is not born again but very religious in her church.
The woman in our church group who does have the Holy Spirit has a "taste" of the fear of the Lord although she often ignores the instruction given her by the Holy Spirit and goes in another way which seems better to her.
The woman who is not born again has nothing, certainly no fear of the Lord. All she has is faith in her church group and in her own intellect.
It is possible to work with the woman who has the Holy Spirit. The other woman just has to be kept "at bay" so to speak.
We have a "fear of the Lord" because God has revealed "the Lord" to us. When this happens we know inwardly we must follow HIS way, HIS instructions. We know any other way would be very dangerous to us no matter how it seems. Therefore we Fear God! And we are blessed because we fear God for a fear of God also shows a belief in God.
Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
And we do delight greatly in that which God tells us.
The woman who is not born again shuddered when I spoke of what God had done. She didn't want to hear about God. She wanted to delight in other humans and in that which humans have done. She wanted to hear that. She is very religious, attending church faithfully, but she doesn't want to hear about works done by God.
But the person who is greatly blessed is the one who delights in God and in hearing about God. And then puts away her own preference and goes in the way shown her by the Holy Spirit.
Wealth and riches shall be in his house:
Truly our "house" (our inner being where the Holy Spirit dwells) is full of wealth and riches. We have in us all the wisdom and counsel of God HIMSELF through HIS Spirit that dwells in us.
4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:
We don't know what to do and all of a sudden there is "light" (wisdom) and we know the source of the problem and we know what to do in the midst of the problem for God sends us the information so we see clearly.
Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
(The fear of the Lord is basically an understanding that if I do what God says to do it will go well with me ... but if I rebel against what God says to do I will not live as well as I might have lived.)
that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
