πŸ’₯ Led by God in comforting dying sister

Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ

Last week it was in my heart to visit my sister who is dying of cancer. She requested to be placed on hospice services last Wednesday. My husband and I drove there on Friday after my monthly infusion of antibodies.  We visited with her, her husband and son on Saturday.

I laid in the bed beside her and talked to her in her ear as she was turned away from me. She talked about her fears and how weary she was about not being able to move at all.

She said that her hospice nurse told her that people can have a heart attack for a whole hour before they die.

I then shared what I heard from God about her "falling asleep".   I said to her, "I believe that this is what is going to happen with you. You are not going to have a heart attack for an hour. That will not happen to you".

She said that she believed it too.

She wondered why God did not take her to death when she is ready to die. We talked about how His plan is perfect so it is not time yet.

She and her son are in the process of writing her obituary. Her husband is fighting the idea of her dying fervently.

My sister said that she was greatly comforted by my words to her and said, "thank you", over and over again. She said to me "you have no idea how much your words meant to me"

My husband spoke with her husband and it seemed to have helped.

God's plan is perfect and He was the author of my words to her for I really do not remember all that I said. The result was very dramatic. I believe that if my sister was not truly born again before ... she became born again when she believed that she would "fall asleep"

God's word is perfect. I am grateful that He chose to help my sister.
