Do all things without murmurings and disputings: Philippians 2:14
Murmur - to complain or grumble
Hearing this immediately stopped me. I had no idea I was doing this! But since hearing this scripture and thinking about it on a daily basis, I find that I am much more aware of the times I start complaining or am about to start.
Because I want to please God, having this brought to my attention by the Holy Spirit, has been so helpful in pulling me back from this particular sin, turning me to God for help with the situation, instead of complaining, and often simply reminding me that complaining is a sin.
And it is like this for every person who has been given the Holy Spirit, making us the children of God. We belong to HIM and HE guides us and teaches us, in the ways that please HIM, for the remainder of our days on this earth.
Philippians 2:14-15 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
