Pam Padgett, member of the body of Christ.
A few days ago, I was going about some chores I typically
do each morning, feeding the dogs and cats, and cleaning litter boxes.
I hadn't slept well the night before, and felt "sluggish" as I went
from one thing to another. A thought came of how boring and
never-ending these tasks seem.
Right away, the Holy Spirit reminded me of what we're told in Psalm 118:24.
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Thinking on this completely changed my attitude.
Now, as I finished these chores, I was thinking of how God made this day and has HIS purpose for this day. I found myself looking forward to the day, rejoicing in God fulfilling HIS purpose for the day, and wanting to please God as I went through the day.
Also, I was aware of, and grateful for, God watching over me and reminding me of what we're told in Psalm 118:24 by the Holy Spirit, exactly what I needed at that
moment that I might go forth in joy rather than drudgery.
