Revelation 17

1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.

8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for HE is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with HIM are called, and chosen, and faithful.

15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

I Samuel 5:1-4 And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Ebenezer unto Ashdod.

2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.

3 And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

4 And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

James 1:18  Of HIS own will begat HE us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of HIS creatures.

(Comments by Joan Boney:)

My mother always loved reading horoscopes.

Before I was born again, I gave her a set of horoscope drinking mugs to please her.

After I was born again, I visited her in the town where she lived and when I opened her kitchen cabinet, I noticed those horoscope mugs.  I took a paper bag and began removing the mugs and putting them into the paper bag.

My mother was watching me and when she realized what I was about to do, she became slightly agitated and said, "Stop.  What are you doing?  I want to keep those.  You gave them to me."

I paid no attention at all and I continued removing the mugs and putting them into the garbage bag.

I took the mugs to the garbage dumpster, broke the mugs so no one else could use them and threw them into the dumpster.

I returned to my mother's house and went to my bedroom and got my Bible and returned to the living room where my mother was sitting and I opened the Bible and read aloud the following scripture to my mother.

Deuteronomy 18

9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

My mother sat there quietly for a few seconds after I finished reading these scriptures.  Then she said, "Well ... I guess we'd better not do that any more."

(With that she was born again, changed by God into a new creature.)

2 Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

After I returned to Dallas, my uncle wrote to me and said, "Your mother's changed!  She's really changed!"

Ezekiel 36  (God says)

23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When Pam Padgett was in High School one of her classmates was killed on a motorcycle.

Pam had never before considered that someone her age could die.

As she thought about this, she realized that her only hope was God and that none of the rituals taught in the Catholic church could save her.  Only by God could she be saved. (The Word of truth.)  And if she died at that second, she would go to hell.

Pam was terrified.  And she cried out to God.  "Please help me.  If there is any way I can be saved, please save me."

After praying Pam realized there was something of God, in her.

A few years later, she was reading the Bible and saw a scripture and knew this is what was in her.

I Corinthians 3:16   Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

In 1975, I was reading a book about sin.  God spoke to me and said:  "Joan.  You know all those mistakes you've been making all these years?  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

"Sins?"  I thought they were mistakes.

(With that Word of truth, God caused me to be born again.)

I went forward at church when I was 15 and was baptized ... but nothing changed in my life.  I continued to pursue my own ambitions.  I don't ever remember thinking about God or the Bible.

But after receiving this word from God, I was very different.  Now I wanted to read the Bible.  I wanted to hear about God.  I no longer wanted to be with the worldly people I had been with before this word came to me.  And all I wanted to talk about was God.

After this happened, I said to my best friend, "Oh by the way Donna, I don't think I've been a Christian until now."  She was very excited and said, "Joanie ... come back here.  What did you just say?  I repeated, "I don't think I've been a Christian until now.  God spoke to me and now I think I am a Christian although I thought I was a Christian before, I don't think I was until now."

God speaks to us and even calls us by name, and that changes everything immediately.

Then we are "dead" to the world and alive to God, that we may serve God instead of serving our own selves and devils.

After God spoke to me, I was baptized a second time.  As the minister lowered me into the water, I heard, "This is like being buried with Christ."  As I came out of the water, I heard, "This is like being raised with Christ."

Colossians 3

For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, WHO is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with HIM in glory.

Born again:  Dead to this world.  Alive to God. God opens our eyes by giving us the Word of truth and this Word causes us to be a new creature.

Philippians 3 (Reading through the Bible)

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:

Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;

11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

πŸ’₯ Taking Thoughts Captive & Dealing With Destructive Thoughts: Part 1

Comments by Joan Boney:

Each of us have thoughts come to our minds.  Some thoughts are from our own minds.  Some thoughts are from devils who will try to take us the opposite way from the way God wants us to go.  Some thoughts are from God.

Example:  At the end of the second meeting of the Home Church gathering (July 22-25), I began feeling I was incompetent and thoughts began coming to me:  "How could I get through the next two days?"

I turned very strongly to God and heard this scripture:

 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

6 Who also hath made us
able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

***
It was very obvious to me that the discouraging thoughts were from devils.

It is like this:
Devils poison us.  God gives us an antidote for the poison.

For me, in this case, I took 2 Corinthians 3:3-5 ... wrote that scripture out and began thinking on how God made me an "able minister", even taking me to heaven twice and causing me to be merged  into the "word" of God, Jesus, with God and the Holy Spirit witnessing.  (I was very tired from the meetings, and I'm almost 87 years old, and I was tired after the activities after the meetings, and I knew I needed to get in bed and rest.

It does no good to try to rest if your mind is disturbedFirst, settle the matter with God by asking God to help you and pay attention to scripture brought to your mind and examples of happenings.  Write out that scripture and keep it before you day and night for a season. Refuse to think of contrary thoughts, knowing that devils sent these destructive thoughts, and stick with that scripture brought to your mind by God.

Paul says:  "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Phil. 4:13  (Christ is the Word.  When I have a scripture given to me by God, I've found I, too, can do all things.)

John 10:10  (Jesus says)  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

God had given me the antidote from those thoughts that devil used to trouble me.

So I took what God had given me, 2 Corinthians 3, and got into bed while looking at that scripture and began to relax and fell asleep.

***

"HE (God) restoreth my soul."  (Psalm 23:2)

I prayed:  "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me." (2 Corinthians 3)

I did not allow my mind to go anywhere else but that one section of scripture.  I rested in the word of God by those two verses.

"God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and a sound mind."

Cling to concept of God giving us a "sound mind".  Devils are trying to destroy us by lies but God has given us a "sound mind".  Hold fast to those verses which tell us this, for that is the truth.

***

By the 4th day of meetings, I noticed David trying to read the scripture off the cell phone his wife who was sitting next to him was using.  I knew we had here a great sign of success in turning everyone to the Bible during these meetings.  David was wanting to see the exact scripture from the Bible which we were speaking at that 4th meeting!

For the "word" is God.

***

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.

4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.

***

Fight the good fight of faith.  (I Timothy 6:12)

Devils will bring thoughts exactly opposite to truth.

It is a fight to have faith in the Word.  But it is the only way to go and we must fight or be swept away and destroyed.

We overcome in this world by that Word God brings to our mind when we hold onto that Word and believe the "Word" God gives us.

Revelation 3:5  Jesus says:  He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before MY Father, and before HIS angels.

***

During the meeting, I had an open vision of several angels dancing up and down because of the things we were speaking to one another at that gathering of the church July 22-25!

We tried to record these meetings and if we managed to get a clear recording we will print and play part of the meeting on one of our future podcasts.

I Corinthians 14:26  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

We did what Paul said at these meetings.  Each person was free to share as God led that person by the Holy Spirit of God.

As far as I know, all things were edifying, building the church in the faith in God.

One of the especially good things for me is we met two families of born again Spirit filled Christians, with whom we plan to try to continue to gather with weekly in Colorado Spirit, starting in about 3 weeks from now.  I feel certain we can record those sessions.

Cameron is leaving his paid job as a Colorado Springs fireman and starting his own business in outdoor lighting so his children can participate with him in his business!  (He installed our outdoor lighting for our home church meeting.  That is how we met him!)

He especially requested that we work in "taking thoughts captive and dealing with destructive thoughts."  (No doubt he will very much need this for devil really attacks us when we make such a change in life.)

I've had several men who worked for us at the house and the most requested need was Taking thoughts captive and dealing with destructive thoughts. I will also try to do some writings on this subject on blog, giving examples.  This is one of the most important subjects in going forward in the end time troubles that come upon this earth.

πŸ’₯  Joan Boney   (Seven last plagues)

Revelation 16

1  And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome
(odorsome) and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.

4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.

5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, THOU art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because THOU hast judged thus.

6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and THOU hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are THY judgments.

8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM glory.

10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of HIS wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Before the home church meeting we had at my house last week, I had been concerned about one of my dogs, Gus, who has always barked a lot when people he doesn't know come into the house.  So I asked God to please deal with this in some way and asked if there was anything I needed to do in this.  (I wasn't shown anything to do.)

During the week I noticed that Gus did not bark a lot as he has done in the past.  I have no doubt God dealt with Gus, answering my prayer.

Podcast: Dealing with fear, dread, concern and anything else that can trouble you ... through turning to God

When trouble comes to us, all we have to do is to learn to put our faith in God each time we have a problem or potential problem.

We put our faith in God by turning to God in prayer, asking for help or asking God for wisdom in dealing with the problem.

Each time we call on God asking HIM for help, we put our faith in God.

And we learn to call on God over each concern, each time we are concerned.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

I'm 84 years old.  In 2021, one day fearful thoughts began to come to my mind:  "If I get to where I can't walk, what will happen to me?  What will I do?  I won't be able to stay here.  I'll have to move somewhere else."

I cried out:  "GOD ... HELP ME!"

Instantly the following came into my mind:  "God will supply all your need."

"That's right ... God will supply all my need!" (I cried out!)

I completely relaxed and the fearful thoughts vanished.

James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We submit ourselves to God by calling on God for help!

God brings us HIS Word and by faith in that Word we will not heed the thoughts sent by the devil and the devil will flees from us when he sees we believe that Word sent to us by God.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We put our trust in God each time we cry out to God.

My 97 year old cousin told me this one day.  She said, "I do fine all day but I get so lonely at night."

(Her husband died 10 years ago.)

When she told me this problem, I was so excited for I knew all she had to do was ask God for help and God would help her!

So I said, "Oh this is no problem.  When you begin to feel that loneliness, all you have to do is to turn to God immediately, as soon as you begin to feel that loneliness, and ask God to help you. God will help you!"

My cousin had been taken to church as a baby and attended church all her life.

Many church goers do not understand calling on God for help.

And it is a matter of trusting in God.

About two weeks later, this cousin said to me, "I do all right during the day but at night I get so lonely."

She didn't put her trust in God.

I just didn't try to help her after that, knowing there was nothing I could do for her.

James 1:22   But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Titus 3:9-11  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

10-11 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

In 2018, I fell and broke a hip and wrist and after surgery could not put any weight on my leg where the hip had been broken.  So they put me into a rehabilitation hospital for 2-1/2 months.  The first month I was in "bed rest" for I couldn't try to walk or do anything, according to the doctor.

And I was alone most of the time, having no relatives and only a few visitors.

Often I would awake in the morning and think, "How can I get through this day?"

And then I would remember God and ask God to help me to get though that day.

(The time sort of flew by and before I knew it, evening had come.  I thanked God as I realized this.)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

The man who was helping me with my sound system was leaving my house one day and he turned to me and said, "I don't know why I am telling you this but they think I have ALS and I am going into hospital next week for tests."

(At that time, David was 44 years old and had a wife and 2 children, ages 8 and 12.)

I told David every time he was afraid, just ask God to help him.

At one point, he had to go to hospital for an operation.  He said he remembered what I had said and he did do this and he was helped so much when he did this.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

When we turn to God and ask God for help, often God will bring us an idea showing us something to do and when we do that, everything falls into place.

By HIS Spirit, the Holy Spirit, God brings ideas to our mind.  God communicates with us by giving us thoughts to help us in situations.

When my mother was still living, I would go to cafe daily to get our lunch.  It cost $5.30.  I would take a five-dollar-bill from my purse and a quarter and a nickle.  And I would leave my purse with my mother while I went for our food.

One day I looked in my coin purse and couldn't find a quarter and nickel.

As I dug through the change looking for these coins, I heard, "Three dimes will work!"

(That was the Holy Spirit helping me for I had several dimes in my coin purse but I was in habit of using a quarter and a nickel!  The Holy Spirit is a helper to us!)

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

We recognize the thoughts sent to us by God, for when we have such a thought, it is "easy to be intreated."

(When thoughts are very complex or overly expensive, I always know those thoughts are not from God.)

Matthew 11:28-30  Jesus says:  Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Philippians 4:6-7   Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

God will not fail us nor forsake us when we turn to HIM and call on HIM for wisdom or help in our problems.

Psalm 62:8   Trust in HIM at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before HIM: God is a refuge for us.

Remember:  God knows the future! He will lead us in plans that are right for us in our situation.

Philippians 2 (Reading through Bible)

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

(Jesus obeyed God the Father even to His own death on a cross.)

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.

21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:

30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

Revelation 15

1 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.

2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are THY works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are THY ways, THOU King of saints.

4 Who shall not fear THEE, O Lord, and glorify THY name? for THOU only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before THEE; for THY judgments are made manifest.

5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:

6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.

8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from HIS power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Podcast: There is power in the Word of God for us who believe that Word and do that Word

Some people spend years trying to change without success.  Some go to psychologists for help without any real change.  Some read self-help books hoping to change.

Power is in the Word of God and when God speaks to us we experience instant change for God gives us a new heart and a new Spirit, the Holy Spirit, and our flesh, the old man, is put to death, while the new creature from God appears in us.

2 Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Peter 1

3 According as HIS divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The Bible is filled with promises made by God to us, the believer.  In both the Old and New Testament we have been given exceeding great and precious promises from God.

Here are some of these:

πŸ’₯  Isaiah 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.

πŸ’₯  Philippians 4:6-7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

πŸ’₯  2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

πŸ’₯  James 1:5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

πŸ’₯  Isaiah 26:3-4  THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

πŸ’₯  Philippians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus (The Word).

Philippians 1 (Reading through BIble)

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

Being confident of this very thing, that HE which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.

11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; 13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; 26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake;

30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
