Isaiah 30:1-3
2 That walk to go down into Egypt (this world), and have not asked at MY mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
3 Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
6 ... to a people that shall not profit them.
7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
(When I see the word "Egypt" in the Old Testament I often view this as meaning "the world" ... seeking help from this world instead of from God.)

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Ecclesiastes 1: 9-10 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10 Is there any thing where of it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already of old time, that which was before us.

A while back I bought a pair of sandals, the kind with a thong between big toe and other toes. Recently when I was going to wear them for the first time, the fit on the right one was different. It seemed like maybe the thong part sat further back, because my foot seemed to sit further back, and sort of off the back of the shoe.
I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I hadn’t noticed this when I’d tried them on at the store. Looking at them and even measuring different parts, it seemed that everything was equal on both shoes.
This morning I was looking at them again and talking to God about what to do with them. It was way past time to be able to return them. My attention was drawn to something different between the right and left one. There is an adjustable buckle that goes across the top of the foot. I noticed that on the left one there were 2 holes showing and on the right one only one hole showing ( the right one was one notch tighter than the left). I adjusted this on the right to make it the same as the left, and that solved the problem. The right one fit like it should now.
I was so glad to be shown this. Now I can keep them and wear them and be comfortable with them.

Psalm 5:11-12 But let all those that put their trust in THEE rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because THOU defendest them: let them also that love THY Name be joyful in THEE.
12 For THOU, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt THOU compass him as with a shield.
