Isaiah 30
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
(I have had church people ask me not to speak judgment messages to them but to speak those "good" messages. The radio station manager in Seattle said this to me several years ago. He didn't realize that a real minister of God has a responsibility to speak that which God show them to speak at the time he speaks and to the person to whom he is speaking. If that minister fails to speak the message he believes to be from God, then he has no message to speak.)
11 Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
12 Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
14 And HE shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; HE shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
16 But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.

(Returning and rest means calling on God and resting in any word God gives us, trusting in that word.)
Several years ago I was engaged to marry a man named Chuck, who said he was a Christian. He had grown children, and his son was in the U.S. army, stationed in Germany.
Matthew 5:32 ... Jesus says ... But
I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the
cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
And as I focused on what we're told in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 I was greatly helped. Instead of a sense of loss, I came to be very grateful to God for choosing me, dwelling in me by HIS Holy Spirit, and being a Father to me and caring for me as a Father does HIS child.

1 John 1:7-9 But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and THE BLOOD of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM a liar, and HIS word is not in us.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater
is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.
is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Several years ago I was engaged to marry a man named Chuck, who said he was a Christian. He had grown children, and his son was in the U.S. army, stationed in Germany.
One
evening on the telephone Chuck told me his son had just gotten engaged
to marry a woman who is divorced. I told him we're told in the Bible
that if a man marries a divorced woman, he commits adultery.
He quickly terminated the conversation and a few days later broke off our engagement.
I was very upset.
But the Holy Spirit reminded me of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship
hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light
with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
for
ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in
them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY
people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will
receive you.
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be MY sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
At first I didn't understand how this applied to my situation since Chuck said he was a Christian, a believer.
But then the Holy Spirit explained that Chuck did not believe what we're told in Matthew 5:32, making him an unbeliever. This is something I had not considered before.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Proverbs 2:7-9 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 HE keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of HIS saints.
9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
