πŸ’₯ Scriptures:

Revelation 12:11  And they overcame him (the devil) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Philippians 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

(Comments by Beth Martin, member of the body of Christ:)

I am impressed with this today as I ask God to renew me, conform me, and to settle myself with Him.

My sisters and I have been close our whole lives. One just had major life changing surgery and the other is dying of cancer. Both claim to be Christians and I have not been shown otherwise. As I engage with them I am very aware that I could be putting myself in spiritual danger. I do not want them or my love for them to overshadow my hearing from God. I have sent them scripture and visited as needed. At this point in time, their sons and daughters have assumed the role of hands on care. I am so very thankful for this.

God has provided for me a way of escape for the temptation of caring for them "too much". I thank God for HIS faithfulness.

1 Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Job 33:14-18  For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

16 Then He openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

17 That He may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

18 He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

Romans 5:20-21
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-8  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Psalm 91:1-2  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, HE is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in HIM will I trust.
